We will have in our foyer a bulletin board with slips of paper that you can take, naming the item that they need. You can help by purchasing and then bring to us. So again.you can help by Check out the bulletin board in foyer and take a slip of paper with item to buy. 2. Purchase one of the school supplies. 3. Bring it back to the church and place in box in the foyer. We hope to have this out soon so keep your eyes open. Thanks for helping in this ministry, as we endeavor to show the love of Christ through helping others. Praise & Petitions August 26, 2018 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. 7 Worship Songs LONDONDERRY PRAYER Verse 1 May God give you in every storm a rainbow, In every tear, may He give you a smile, In every care may He provide a promise, And may He walk beside you every mile! Chorus May God give you in every hurt a healing, In every sigh may He give you a song, And may you dwell within the shadow of His wings, And in that secret place, find strength to carry on. Verse 2 And when your journey leads you thru the wilderness, May you find refuge in that weary land, May every valley lead you to a mountaintop, And all your steps be steadied by His hand. BEFORE THE THRONE OF GOD ABOVE Before the throne of God above I have a strong, and perfect plea A great High Priest whose name is Love Whoever lives and pleads for me My name is graven on His hands My name is written on His heart I know that while in heav n He stands No tongue can bid me thence depart No tongue can bid me thence depart When Satan tempts me to despair And tells me of the guilt within Upward I look and see Him there Who made an end to all my sin Because the sinless Savior died My sinful soul is counted free For God the Just is satisfied To look on Him and pardon me To look on Him and pardon me Behold Him there! The risen Lamb My perfect, spotless Righteousness The great unchangeable I AM The King of glory and of grace! One with Himself I cannot die My soul is purchased with His blood My life is hid with Christ on high With Christ, my Savior and my God W/M Vikki Cook & Charitie Bancroft, C.1997 PDI Worship (adm. By Brentwood-Benson Music Pub., Inc., UBP, CCLI # GOD OF CALVARY Verse 1 On the hill of Calvary, the light of all the world, With the world on His shoulders. The weight of all our shame, on Him who knew no sin, A holy surrender. The sky went dark, the angels wept, the Father looked away. The final breath, He bowed His head, The Lamb of God was slain. Chorus By His wounds I am set free! By His blood, I ve been redeemed! The great divide He crossed for me! Oh, praise the God of Calvary! Verse 2 On the hill of Calvary, Into the Father s hands, A holy surrender. A borrowed tomb, his mother wept, and there His body lay; But the stone was moved, He conquered death, and rose from the grave! And if I never, never lose sight of this place, I will never, never lose sight of Your grace, Your cross is all, all I need to see, Oh, praise the God of Calvary!
