NURSERY is available for children under 4 years old during Sunday School and Worship Service. Nursery workers for today are Jessica Smith and McKenzie Toews. Because You Prayed: The Fields of Faith event at Shafter High saw over 100 in attendance and the North Kern Christian School Fundraising Dinner went very well (John 6:33)! He is the son of Kelly and Liah Bergen, and grandson of Vivian Bergen. VETERANS DAY HOLIDAY Today is the official Veteran s Day Holiday. Tomorrow we will observe Veteran s Day with school closures and the church office will be closed as well. Let s show our gratitude to those who have served our country and pray for them and their families. PIES, PIES, AND MORE PIES! SMBC s annual High School Youth Pie Social Fundraiser is next Sunday, November 18 at 3:30 pm as part of the SMBC 100th Celebration. We are expecting a large number of people that afternoon and so we are in need of a little help providing pies. If you would like to help by baking or providing a pie or two please sign up in the church foyer or contact the church office or Pastor Brent. NOTICE! MEN S BIBLE STUDY on Thursday mornings at Tony s will be taking a break through the rest of November. No Men s Bible Study Nov. 15, 22, and 29. We will resume in December. CENTENNIAL BOOK Did you get your Centennial book yet? These beautiful SMBC Centennial Celebration hardcover books are available for purchase in the church office during office hours for $50 and is also available on Amazon for $57 using search words SMBC Centennial. SMBC WRESTLING INVITATIONAL Next Saturday, November 17 we will be hosting our third annual SMBC Invitational Wrestling Tournament. This is a great opportunity to welcome many families on to our campus and serve our community. We will need approximately 10 helpers for the day. Please indicate SMBC Invitational on a blue card or call the church office if you would like to volunteer. MENNONITE DISASTER SERVICE is in need of volunteers to build a house to replace one lost to recent fires around Lake Isabella. Volunteers are needed the week Nov. 26. Please call Roger Riley at if you can give a day, a few days, or a week to help make this house weather tight before Christmas. HUME LAKE HIGH SCHOOL WINTER CAMP Winter camp for High School students is February 22-24, A $25 deposit will save you a spot so to get that in to Pastor Brent soon if you plan on going. WEDNESDAY NIGHT MEALS are being served every night that we have Awana. Meals are served at 5:30 pm in the Fellowship Center. Everyone is invited. Cost is $4 per adult, 8th grade and under are free, children unaccompanied by an adult is 50 each, and the maximum for a family is $12.
