If you are interested in helping, please contact Susanne Franz at SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL HAS BEGUN Sue Frantz has planned a fun-filled curriculum for the children each Sunday. The Adults will be participating in a video series from Andy Stanley entitled "Follow. In this 8- part series we ll be reminded that Jesus invitation to his people is essentially to be in an ongoing relationship with Him. His request is simple; follow Me. There are several different discussion leaders for this class which is being held in the Dining Room and it will continue through July 26. SUMMER WORSHIP WORKSHOP for the 5th - 12th graders begins on Monday, June 8 at 4:00 pm. Be a part of the experience of using your gifts and learn about leading worship. This workshop is scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays during the summer weeks. Then later in the summer they will help lead worship during a morning service. For further information call Pastor Brent. SUMMER SWIM DAYS Summer is here and we know that means hot days! If you have a swimming pool and would be willing to host the 1-3 graders and/or 4-6 graders for a swim party this summer, please contact the church office with possible dates. A schedule of homes and dates will be put in the bulletin ASAP. FLOWERS were placed in the church sanctuary today by Chuck and Karen Wittenberg in loving memory of parents Arnold & Evelyn Wittenberg and Roland Hofer. NURSERY HELP STILL NEEDED! We are looking to hire a Nursery Worker. Because You Prayed: Our annual Church Picnic was a great time of worship and fellowship as we begin our summer ministries (Psalm 100:1-2)! Health Needs: Continue to pray for Josie Ramirez (shingles), Belva Warkentin (left corneal transplant, back pain), Dan Dykstra (melanoma), Ron Neufeld (liver transplant), Sam Twibell (heart attack), Linda Webb (Guillian Barre Syndrome), Alicia Beckett (interstitial lung disease) and Gary Siemens (back surgery) as they are cared for. Also remember Danny Isaac recently hospitalized for double-pneumonia (Psalm 106:48). Church Life and Ministries: Remember the Trustee and Worship/Music Boards as they meet this week. Also lift up the final preparations for Vacation Bible School (Psalm 30:4). Community, National and International Concerns: Pray for our many local farmers as the heat of summer approaches with continuing drought concerns (Psalm 107:1). 5 The Mennonite Brethren Foundation is personally inviting all Senior adults (55+) to join them for CELEBRATE 2015 in Kansas City, Missouri! This event will be held October 2-4, 2015 at the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel At CELEBRATE 2015, senior adults from around the MB National family will gather together to celebrate and pursue God s story in their lives. We will explore together God s great gospel story and how to live it. The weekend event will feature: Inspiration and challenge from DR. DON ARGUE Music with THE BALL BROTHERS Comedy with KENN KINGTON Lots of time for worship and sharing our stories Optional afternoon activities such as taking a steamboat cruise down the Missouri River; taking numerous tours around KC such as visiting one or more of their many museums, such as the Truman Presidential Library and Museum; or visit the Kansas Speedway where you can drive a race car; or visit the National WWI Museum; and much more. There will be one breakout session with four (4) optional sessions to choose from. And, if you d like to add on a Branson, MO 3 day tour, that is also available thru the website and it is listed on your registration forms.
