St. Mary of the Annunciation Baptism Schedule - 2nd weekend of every month, Saturday at 10:30 am - 4th Sunday during the 9:30 Mass if so designated by the Rector. Baptisms that are scheduled during Mass are especially rich in significance. The joyful witness of the entire parish community emphasizes the reality that, through Baptism, a person truly becomes a part of the Mystical Body of Christ and a permanent member of God s family. Father Allen will be sharing what brought him home to the Catholic Faith and how being a Catholic Priest has changed his view of the Sacraments and how his family has been affected and felt welcomed by the Catholic community. We are in need of people to stand in prayer in front of the abortion site...just your prayerful presence has changed hearts and saved lives. Knights of Columbus Council 704 covers the night shift..please come by anytime at your convenience or sign up for a dedicated hour by calling Cheryle at or Jim(St. Mary) DAYS for Life is an international campaign in over 500 cities that supports peaceful prayer outside abortion facilities. We stand for and give dignity to the unborn being killed who have no voice and are the poorest and most vulnerable among us. We are Pro-Woman and believe women deserve better than abortion. Since 2004, 40 Days campaigns have resulted in the closure of many abortion sites, a diminished number of abortion providers, and the conversion of many abortion workers. Captains Choice Golf Tournament The Athletic Association of St. Joseph will be hosting their 17th Annual Captains Choice Handicap Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 3, with a 1:30pm shotgun start at the Shadowmoss Golf Club. The entry fee is $80 per player which includes prizes, giveaways, a chance to win and $5,000, and a post tournament dinner at the St. Joseph Family Life Center. This includes use of the Church for Baptisms, Weddings, and other sacramental events, and includes parishioner status in parochial schools. ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP is determined by four things: 1. Being properly registered in the parish for a sufficient period of time. 2. Faithful attendance at Mass on Sundays and Holy Days. 3. Use of the envelope system in regular support of the parish. 4. Being active in at least one parish program, ministry, or organization. SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE Either the bride or the groom must be a practicing Catholic and registered at the Cathedral for at least twelve months before scheduling a wedding date and beginning the six months marriage preparation. The bride/groom must be an active parishioner, regularly attending Mass on Sundays and holydays of obligation, and use of the envelope system in regular support of the parish.
