Responsibilities also include maintaining the choral library, distributing choral and cantor music, maintaining copyright license reports, and various additional tasks and projects as requested by the Director of Music and Liturgy. Applicants should be familiar with Roman Catholic Liturgies, and should be proficient with InDesign and PhotoShop software. Competitive salary offered. CWC Celebration Dinner May 13, 2014 Hard to believe that another successful year for our organization is coming to an end! Please join us on Tuesday May 13th at 6:00pm, as we thank all of our members for their support and celebrate our accomplishments. All of our CWC members, their spouses or special guests are invited to attend. with drinks and appetizers, followed by a wonderful dinner. The Stories And Songs Are Related To A Variety Of Themes In Irish History, Culture And Tradition. Jim Accompanies Himself On The Bodhran (Pronounced Bow Ron), The Irish Goat Or Sheepskin Drum And He Encourages His Audience To Share Their Own Irish Roots And Connections. So, Come For An Evening Of Irish Story, Song, Laughter And Interesting Conversation. Volunteers Needed for Vacation Church Camp!!! Yes, it s that time of year again! Vacation Church Camp at the Cathedral is June 16 through June 20, and so we are now deep into the planning stages. We could use your help! Vacation Church Camp needs a lot to bring it to life, including: people to plan and lead crafts and games, to tell stories, to perform, to prepare snacks, and so much more. The Rosary dinner is scheduled the 2nd Sunday every month after the 6:00 Mass at the Cathedral. Dinner is provided by the Knights of Columbus. Professor Lloyd is one of the main professors in charge of our diaconate candidates and their formation in the knowledge of the Faith, Church history, Scripture, Spirituality, and many other important topics. All ages are welcomed to this once a month speaker series. We have had a few great speakers in a row and this evening will continue that series. This event will be preceded by some refreshments and some time to meet and greet with other members of the Catholic community here in the Charleston area and will be followed up with a social out somewhere near by. This includes use of the Church for Baptisms, Weddings, and other sacramental events, and includes parishioner status in parochial schools. ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP is determined by four things: 1. Being properly registered in the parish for a sufficient period of time. 2. Faithful attendance at Mass on Sundays and Holy Days. 3. Use of the envelope system in regular support of the parish. 4. Being active in at least one parish program, ministry, or organization. SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE Either the bride or the groom must be a practicing Catholic and registered at the Cathedral for at least twelve months before scheduling a wedding date and beginning the six months marriage preparation. The bride/groom must be an active parishioner, regularly attending Mass on Sundays and holydays of obligation, and use of the envelope system in regular support of the parish.
