Docents are available for a tour of our Cathedral following the 5:30 pm Saturday Vigil Mass and the 9:00 & 11:15 am Masses. If you are interested in a tour, please wait next to the Pulpit after Mass. The Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima is taking a tour of the Diocese of Charleston and the Cathedral is the first stop! Make plans to venerate Our Lady of Fatima in this special way Saturday, 30 April & Sunday, 1 May. More details to follow soon! Thank you to all our musicians, servers and volunteers for their service & dedication during Holy Week and Easter. That Man is You! is open to all men in the parish. Sessions resume this week on Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 pm at 119 Broad Street Meeting Room. Dinner, beer and soft drinks are served. This week s topic is: The Practice of the Presence of God. Altar Server Training: Training is offered on the 3rd Sunday of every month at 10:00 am and is open to those in 3rd grade or older who are interested in serving at Holy Mass. Our St. Vincent de Paul Society will be taking up a collection at the doors of the church following the weekend Masses to help assist those in need in the Charleston area. Thank you for your generosity! PT Secretary: The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist is seeking a Part Time Morning Secretary to answer and route incoming calls and aid in clerical work. Applicants should be Catholic, people oriented, have excellent communication skills, friendly phone presence and knowledge and love of their Catholic faith. Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Publisher) and Adobe InDesign. Ability to learn simple website updating a plus. It is that God loves us all of us. And, he wants us to recognize that His mercy is greater than our sins, so that we will call upon Him with trust, receive His mercy, and let it flow through us to others. Thus, all will come to share His joy. The Divine Mercy message is one we can call to mind simply by remembering ABC: A - Ask for His Mercy. God wants us to approach Him in prayer constantly, repenting of our sins and asking Him to pour His mercy out upon us and upon the whole world. B - Be merciful. God wants us to receive His mercy and let it flow through us to others. He wants us to extend love and forgiveness to others just as He does to us. C - Completely trust in Jesus. The bride/groom must be an active parishioner, regularly attending Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation, and use of the envelope system in support of the parish.
