3 April 26, By the time most parishioners will be reading this, the Carnival celebration will already be in progress. Nonetheless, it is worthwhile for all to know that this event is in fact an important one for our parish and lays the foundation for better things to come. Why not have a spring carnival before anyone else in our area!!! All of us have a lot of winter baggage and winter blues that we still have to shake off! This is just the thing. Come to the carnival. Plan an afternoon or evening with family, grandkids, nieces and nephews and plan on a good time. The event is very important to the parish and also promises to be a good time for all! We ve kept things simple, 3 nights only, no St. Francis food booths, etc. but something for everyone. Don t forget the $5,000 Grand Raffle. You can purchase tickets at the festival itself or hopefully right here at the Church door. Bottom line: See you at the Carnival! Mark Your Calendars On May 2 nd the parish hosts a professional presentation of the great musical Man of LaMancha (Plaza Players). Pray now for the Holy Spirit to be manifest in power to transform anxiety and depression and to heal us spiritually, emotionally and physically.

(Regular Sunday Offertory) Last Sunday s weekly offering: $9, Last Year s Sunday offering:$8, Bulletin Reflection To be good stewards we must be good shepherds, willing to lay down our lives for those committed to our care, not mere hired hands who run off, leaving the sheep to be snatched and scattered by the wolf. Living Stewardship We are grateful this week for all stewards in our parish who stand ready to assist their neighbors through attendance and support for community activities such as police, fire and rescue. Next Sunday is Food Collec on Sunday Baskets will be available at the doors of the church for your contribu ons. Please help to feed the hungry of the parish. Join us for prayer & coffee after Mass on Tuesdays in the lower church. April 26-Fourth Sunday of Easter: Today, we celebrate Good Shepherd Sunday where we reflect on Jesus love and care for us. This month, through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was able to be Good Shepherds to the hearts of the poor, by assisting families by providing food and money for utility, rent and other bills. 6 April 26, Knights of Columbus St. Joseph s Council 4810 ANNUAL COMMUNION BRUNCH Our Communion Brunch will be held on Sunday, May 17th following the 10am Mass at St. Francis of Assisi, Greenlawn. We are delighted to have Al Barbarino as our keynote speaker. Al is a great singer and has entertained in a number of Churches on Long Island. Al is also a Third Order Franciscan and a Zealot for Christ. The tradition of communion breakfasts and brunches after Mass have been celebrated for well over 100 years in the Knights history. We expect to see more of our Brother Knights and their families and friends at the Mass and Brunch. Great food and an informative and faith based presentation. Reservations are required because space is limited. Tickets are $15.00 per adult, children are free. Please call George Road Angels are needed to drive parishioners to and from doctor appointments. Please call the Pastoral Care Office if you can help at The Eucharistic Ministers and Lectors Ministries need YOU! Declining numbers in our membership have left several of the Sunday Masses not covered by a full complement of commissioned ministers. We need you to prayerfully consider joining these ministries. Workshops are now forming to introduce you to serve. Some training workshops are local and take a minimum of time and there is joy in being a part of these ministries.
