The early members of the church saw themselves as devoted stewards of these activities. These were not options. They were the fruits of a genuine conversion to a life in Christ. Sharing in the Eucharist was the most intimate expression of fellowship, while the most common expression of fellowship in the New Testament was that of sharing financial resources giving. It was not a perfect community, but one that gave evidence of God s active presence in its midst. This early community offers us an excellent example of how to better exercise stewardship in our own parish families. International Catholic Stewardship Council On Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 2:30 pm in our Church we will have the Divine Mercy Novena Devotions and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Also, on this day: Blessed Pope John XXIII and Blessed John Paul II will be canonized Saints of our Catholic Church. It is the first time in the history of the Church that two popes are being canonized in the ceremony. The Mass and Canonization will be televised live from Rome on EWTN at 3:30 AM. Help Wanted We need volunteers to help answer phones and/or deliver food each week between 10:00 am and noon on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday. Food bags are packed between 10:00 and 11:00, then 2 person teams deliver the food from 11:00 to 12:00. You can choose the day of the week you would like to work. Please consider helping us by volunteering your time for one day a week.
