3 April 22, St. Francis Now Announces Our Stewardship of Time & Talent Campaign. Yes, we are in need of volunteers across the board but more deeply, these ministries offer everyone to express their faith in our Risen Lord and love for His people (the Church). We all need to remember: God doesn t call the qualified; He qualifies the called. In other words, He is a God of surprises and provision. As St. Paul said, I can do all things in Him who strengthens me. 4 April 22, Time, Talent & Treasure Fostering Stewardship as a way of life Thanks for Giving First Fruits & Taking a Step!!! (Regular Sunday Offertory) Last week s weekly offering: $7, Last year s weekly offering: $8, Bulletin Reflection To be good stewards we must be good shepherds, willing to lay down our lives for those committed to our care, not mere hired hands who run off, leaving the sheep to be snatched and scattered by the wolf. Living Stewardship We are grateful this week for all stewards in our parish who stand ready to assist their neighbors through attendance and support for community activities such as police, fire and rescue. April 22-Fourth Sunday of Easter: Today, we celebrate Good Shepherd Sunday where we reflect on Jesus love and care for us. This month, through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was able to be Good Shepherds to the hearts of the poor, to those who live in fear and doubt, loneliness and dread. St. Gianna Mass For Women and Families The Diocese of Rockville Centre Celebrates Saint Gianna Feast Day at Saint Agnes Cathedral Saturday, April 28, :00 pm Vigil Mass - 5th Sunday of Easter Saint Gianna Feast Day Most Reverend John O. Barres Bishop of Rockville Centre presiding Part of the liturgy will include a blessing in thanksgiving for those celebrating the gift of a child, those planning now or in the future for a child and those who are expecting a child. Mass will be televised on Telecaretv.org After Mass there will be an opportunity to venerate the relics of St. Gianna. SUNDAY READINGS for next week, April 29th: Acts 9:26 31The Church was being built up and walked in the fear of the Lord, and with the consola on of the Holy Spirit it grew in numbers. 1 Jn 3:18 24Love not in word or speech but in deed and truth. Jn 15:1 8[Jesus said,] I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower. Send us your if you would like to start receiving Bringing Home the Word, a weekly message based on the Sunday Scripture readings. Thank you to all who purchased children s books at the Catholic Book Sale on Easter Sunday at the 10am Mass. It was a win for everyone! Every dollar raised from the sale of the books went to St. Francis - $570 - and more importantly, some wonderful bibles and stories of the saints were put into the hands of our children - perfect gifts for Easter, First Communion, and Confirmation. Many thanks those who organized the sale!

5 April 22, Because of Our Lady, Fr. Driscoll is 80! Fr. P.G. Driscoll will celebrate the 12:00noon Holy Mass on Sunday, April 22 here at St. Francis; after which an entertaining tribute will be offered. Luncheon will follow. BREAST CANCER SUPPORT GROUP St. Patrick s Church, 400 Main Street, Huntington Group meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm in the Rectory basement. We are a group of women who have been afflicted with this disease and we meet to lend support to one another through our difficult times.
