Living Stewardship We are grateful this week for all stewards in our parish who keep attachments - of any sort - from distracting them from their spiritual work. October 14-Twenty-Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time: In today s Gospel, Jesus says: Go, sell what you have, and give to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven; then, come follow me. Have you considered answering the call to help serve the poor by joining the Society of St. Vincent de Paul? He desires only our hearts, our trust, our confidence in Him. When we enumerate all the alternatives, all the possibilities, all the probabilities, of not consulting Him first; It becomes clearer that our only need is He, our only hope is He, our only success is His. 8 October 14, As a parish, we strive to be good stewards of our resources. Many families have moved away from envelopes and are now using Faith Direct to fulfill their generous stewardship commitments to our parish and the wider church through electronic donations. We have also found that many are not using their envelopes that we mail out. Help us to reduce our envelope and postage expense and at the same time support St. Francis of Assisi Church in a secure and convenient way by enrolling with Faith Direct.
