What gifts are mine to share? Living Stewardship We are grateful this week for all stewards in our parish who share their God-given gifts and talents through our parish ministries and community organizations, intent on serving our brothers and sisters in need. May 20-Pentecost Today as we celebrate Pentecost the Holy Spirit wants to make us advocates of God s presence to bring new life to others, especially those who do not know the love of God in their lives. Your gift in the St. Vincent de Paul poor box will help the poor to believe in the mystery of God s love for them. Stewardship Prayer Generous God, I give thanks to you for the gifts you have given me my life, my family, my friends time, talents, and material possessions. All that I have comes from you. Help me to remember this and rejoice in your goodness. Walk with me, my God. Help me on my spiritual journey, so that I may constantly renew my relationship with you and all the good people in our parish and throughout Long Island. Renew in me your Spirit. Give me the strength and courage to become a better follower of Jesus, to be a disciple. Help me hear the call to Come, Follow Me. I give glory to you, my God, as I make stewardship a way of life. 6 May 20, On Tuesday, May 22nd, the universal Church honors the Patroness of Impossible cases, St. Rita. We will celebrate a special Mass at 11:30am, followed by the blessing of roses to be given to our sick and suffering family and friends. You are invited to bring roses to Mass; so that through St. Rita s powerful intercession, those afflicted may receive relief and consolation. Afterward, join us for lunch in the lower church. Singles welcome and will be assigned to a team. All must bat and play defense. Must swing with both hands. No base running. No baseball gloves or cleats. Bat & balls provided.
