Living Stewardship We are grateful this week for all stewards in our parish who offer welcome and assistance to our newest parishioners, whether through our Hospitality Ministry or right from the pews! September 23-Twenty-Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time: In today s Gospel Jesus called the Twelve, and said to them, If anyone wishes to be first, he shall be the last of all and the servant of all. Taking a child, he placed it in their midst, and putting his arms around it, he said to them, Whoever receives one child such as this in my name, receives me; and whoever receives me, receives not me but the One who sent me. Your gift to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul will help hungry children feel the arms of Jesus around them. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Friends of the poor 5k Walk/Run Saturday, September 29th Bethpage Community Park In recognition of Our Blessed Mother s Appearance in Fatima, Portugal in 1917, there will be a Public Square Rosary at Centerport Beach on Saturday, Oct. 13th at 12 noon. Please join us. All are welcome! Bring your beach chair. We will be praying for the priesthood, our country, world peace, religious freedom, an end to abortion, and all of your personal intentions. Centerport Beach is located at the end of Little Neck Road in Centerport, approx. two blocks past the Vanderbilt Museum. In case of rain, there is a covered picnic area which we can use.
