No sooner does Second Reading: Ephesians 1:17-23 Paul prays that God may grant wisdom and enlightenment to the Ephesians so that they may know the great hope to which they are called. Every power has been given to Christ who now reigns in heaven. He is the head of the church, which is His body. Gospel: Mark 16:15-20 Jesus told His disciples to go and spread the gospel to every creature, to the world. Jesus also spoke of the signs that will accompany those who believe in Christ. After He spoke with them, He was taken into heaven and took His seat the right hand of God.

4 PARISH RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM REGISTRATION Registration for Religious Education classes will open soon. Check the Bulletin over the next couple of weeks for details. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!! MOTHER S DAY NOVENA OF MASSES WEEK OF MAY 13 TH. Envelopes are available in the lobby of the Church. All names submitted will share in a special Novena of Masses beginning Monday, May 14 th at the 9AM Mass. You may return the intention envelopes by dropping them in the collection baskets at mass or else send them to the rectory Thank you. The envelopes, containing the names of our loved ones, will remain on the altar throughout May. Members of our St. Aedan's Activity Committee and representatives of our recent Confirmation Class had a very productive meeting during which they discussed ideas for future activities and events that could be offered to our teenage parishioners. We are working to make a difference in the lives of adults and young people in our community On Saturday, May 12, the Sisters of Saint Dominic of Blauvelt will be hosting their fourth annual Nun Run 5K Run/Walk and second annual Parish Cup Invitational at Saint Dominic s Convent in Blauvelt. For the Parish Cup Invitational, parishioners from Rockland, Bergen, Orange and Westchester counties are invited to participate on their parish team. It is facilitated by Ann Carucci, founder of HANDS, who lost her son and daughter-in-law, in a boating accident. Their bodies were never recovered. All groups meet from 6:30-8:00pm at HANDS International Headquarters, 9 Scott Drive, New City. The meetings this month are May 15. Services are free of charge. Ann is also available for personal one-on-one counseling sessions. HANDS has a Widows And Widowers Group facilitated by Ann Carucci, who lost her husband.
