Amen Our parish goal this year is $60, If you have not received a letter from the diocese, envelopes are available at the doors of our worship sites. If we do not make the goal, the balance has to be paid with parish funds. Thanks for whatever you can do. The Gospel of Luke - in preparation for liturgical cycle c. Tuesdays, Oct 9, 16, 23, &30th. If you want to be an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion either at weekend Masses or to take Holy Communion to a family member or to a nursing home, a training session is being planned. Please contact Fr. George via e mail fr.jorgeramirez@dor.org about your interest by Monday Oct. 15 th. The diocese requires that all Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion have training & their names will be submitted to the diocesan office. Care of the Community Meeting St. Michael s Church The purpose of the Care of the Community meetings are to serve as a bridge in communication among the members of a worship site, the pastor & staff & the Pastoral Council, especially with regard to raising concerns & sharing ideas. The Care of the Community meeting is scheduled for Sunday Sept 30th directly after the 9:30 mass in the chapel. Please plan on attending. One topic is when to schedule subsequent meetings. Middle School youth: A special retreat day is planned just for you! November 3rd in Elmira, from Noon 6 PM. A presentation and games/activities connected to Theology of the Body's of Discovering One's True Identity will be featured. Will also include time for individual reflection and adoration. Look for plastic baby bottles in each worship site, take one with you and place it where you can collect loose change ( or bills ) as you come across them for the next few weeks... Bottles will be collected at each worship site on Oct st. Look for cradle or box near the altar. St Jan and St Theresa money will benefit Care Net in Canandaigua, St. Pat's- Pregnancy Care Center in Bath and St Mike's will assist the Care Net here in Penn Yan. These centers assist women and families dealing with pregnancies and provide training and support before and after the baby is born. Respect life right here at home!
