Also, please advise our office staff of any change of address, telephone number or family status. Anointing of the Sick First Saturday of the month during Mass or by request. Please notify the rectory as soon as possible when any parishioner becomes seriously ill or is admitted to the hospital. Baptism Baptisms are celebrated after the 11:30 a.m. Mass on Sundays upon request. Both first-time parents need to attend a Pre-Jordan class, which is held the first Wednesday of every month. Pre-Registration for the class is required by contacting the Parish Office. Sponsors not from Epiphany are required to submit a Certificate of Eligibility from their parish two weeks prior to the Baptism. Holy Communion for the Sick and Homebound Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are available to bring Communion to the sick and homebound. 2 Fathers Day Prayer Cards The Respect Life Committee will distribute Father's Day prayer cards at all Masses. A Prayer for Fathers Excerpts from a prayer by Pope St. John XXIII Saint Joseph, guardian of Jesus and chaste husband of Mary, you passed your life in loving fulfillment of duty. You know their aspirations, their hardships, their hopes. You too knew trial, labor and weariness. But amid the worries of material life, your soul was full of deep peace and sang out in true joy through intimacy with God's Son entrusted to you and with Mary, his tender Mother. Teach them to find Jesus near them and to watch over Him faithfully as you have done. Amen. Guest Speaker A member of our Parish Pastoral Council will speak at all Masses next weekend, June 23-24, on behalf of our Parish Life Festival on Sunday, July 1 (see flyer on page four). Polka Fest The Polka Fest will be held Sunday, June 24, 12-5 p.m., at the TK Club, 521 East Hector St., Conshohocken. Admission is $10 in advance and $15 on the day of the event. Archdiocesan Unbound Ministry The Archdiocesan Unbound Ministry is a ministry of healing in which a trained prayer team prays with individuals to assist them in overcoming the spiritual obstacles they encounter and take hold of greater freedom in Christ. This ministry uses the Five Keys of the Unbound model of deliverance developed by Heart of the Father Ministries (heartofthefather.com). Individuals who come for Unbound prayer share their personal story related to the area where they sense they need freedom and are led by the prayer team through a series of prayers based on the Five Keys of Unbound: First Key: Repentance and Faith Second Key: Forgiveness Third Key: Renunciation Fourth Key: Taking Authority Fifth Key: The Father s Blessing Examples of situations where Unbound prayer can be an effective help for individuals include: Habitual sin Marital/family discord Inability to forgive Relationship struggles Persistently negative view of God or self Depression & anxiety Stalled spiritual life Any area where a person feels stuck or senses a need for greater freedom Unbound Prayer does not replace the ordinary means of growth in the Christian life such as personal prayer and the sacraments. Nor does it replace the ordinary means of human development such as counseling and other forms of psychological support. It serves as an additional tool that addresses the specifically spiritual influences that are frequently a part of any personal problem. This global collection supports the Holy Father as he reaches out in mercy and charity to people who are suffering. Your generosity will help Pope Francis ease the suffering of some of the most marginalized throughout the world and show them the tender love of God. Pope Francis challenges us to look at those around us with the eyes of mercy. He says, We encounter so many weary and oppressed people today And how is our heart? Is it merciful? And our way of thinking and acting, is it inclusive? (Jubilee Audience, Nov. 12, 2016). I invite you to reflect on how you feel moved to answer the call to mercy. In Iraq, many people still live a nightmare of war and violence. This has left many displaced, including young people in the midst of their studies. Without an educated population, it will be difficult for the country to gain stability. But with the support of your diocese to the Peter s Pence Collection, the Archdiocese of Erbil, in Iraqi Kurdistan, has received funding for 10 scholarships for young displaced persons. With this help, the students can complete their university education and move forward with the hope of rebuilding their country. This year the Peter s Pence Collection will be taken at all Masses on the weekend of June 23-24, Let us join with our brothers and sisters in faith from around the globe to help Pope Francis reach the marginalized in our world.
