F o r f u r t h e r information, contact Joan Purcell at (610) Footsteps to the Cross St. Titus Church and Bethany Music Ministry will present Footsteps to the Cross this Palm Sunday, Mar. 29 at 7:30 p.m. in the church. Footsteps is a prayerful meditation focusing on the final hours of Christ as told though scripture, narration and music. It is a powerful look at the Way of the Cross and what it means in our contemporary world. It is a wonderful way to begin Holy Week. St Titus Church is located at 3006 Keenwood Rd. in East Norriton. Easter Triduum Since Christ accomplished his work of human redemption and of the perfect glorification of God principally through his Paschal Mystery, in which by dying he has destroyed our death, and by rising restored our life, the sacred Paschal Triduum of the Passion and Resurrection of the Lord shines forth as the high point of the entire liturgical year. Therefore the preeminence that Sunday has in the week, the Solemnity of Easter has in the liturgical year. The Paschal Tridiuum of the Passion and Resurrection of the Lord begins with the evening Mass of the Lord s Supper, has its center in the Easter Vigil, and closes with Vespers (Evening Prayer) on the Sunday of the Resurrection (Universal Norms, 18-19). 3 Giver of Life - Donate Blood Our next parish Blood Drive is scheduled for Wednesday, Apr. 1, from 2-7 p.m. in Grady Hall. All who are able (at least 17 yrs. old, weigh 110 lbs. or more, and are in good health) are encouraged to donate blood frequently (56 days minimum between donations). If you have specific questions about your eligibility, you may call the Red Cross toll free at GIVE LIFE. If you have been told that you are anemic (low iron) you can increase your red cell count by eating more high-iron foods such as red meat, fish, poultry, liver, iron-fortified cereals, beans, raisins, and prunes. Thank you and God bless you for giving the gift of life. The Red Cross will be accepting DOUBLE RED BLOOD CELL donations at this Blood Drive. This process takes about 30 minutes longer. Blood types needed are O and B. Donors must meet certain weight, height, and iron level requirements. Males: min. 130lbs., 5' 1" tall. Females: min. 155 lbs., 5' 5" tall. Divine Mercy This year we celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday on Apr. 12. Excerpt from the Diary of St. Faustina Kowalska, a Polish nun from the Congregation of Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in Poland: "On (the Feast of Mercy) the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the Fount of My Mercy. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet. My mercy is so great that no mind, be it of man or angel, will be able to fathom it throughout all eternity. Everything that exists has come forth from the very depths of My most tender mercy... The Feast of Mercy emerged from My very depths of tenderness. It is My desire that it be solemnly celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter. Mankind will not have peace until it turns to the Fount of My Mercy. Every day at three o'clock, implore My mercy, immerse yourself in My Passion, particularly in My abandonment at the moment of agony. This is the hour of great mercy... In this hour I will refuse nothing to the soul that makes a request of Me in virtue of My Passion. Please pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet every day. The Chaplet of The Divine Mercy will be recited at 2:30 p.m. and Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Holy Rosary School s Class of 2015 Spaghetti Dinner Knights of Columbus Annual Dinner Epiphany Knights of Columbus Council #10605 will be holding its annual dinner on Saturday, Apr. 11, at the Plymouth Country Club. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. All Knights are invited along with their spouse, companion or friend. Dinner is your choice of chicken cordon blue, baked salmon or prime rib. Cost is $35 per person. Pro-Life Rose Devotion to Mary For the benefit of those new to our parish, or not aware of this devotion, following are the details of our ongoing Pro-Life Rose Devotion to Mary. The Respect Life Committee (RLC) of our parish sponsors a devotion to Mary consisting of a specially selected, beautiful rose, which adorns the Blessed Mother s shrine for a week beginning Saturday. Roses can be sponsored by individuals in memory of the deceased, or for a special intention for the living. Proceeds are used by EOL s Respect Life Committee to support various pro-life activities. They are an important source of income. The Rose is very popular and it fills up very fast. Don t miss on those specific dates. Tuesday, May 19 is the Primary Election Day. Make sure that you are properly registered to vote. The last day to register is Monday, Apr. 20. If you know that you will be out of town on that day, or otherwise are unable to get to the polls, don't let that make you lose your vote! 5 Severe Weather Offering Epiphany of Our Lord Church, Plymouth Meeting We Need Your Help A one-time donation from you on Palm Sunday, Mar. 29, 2015 will help defray expenses. Mother Nature has hit us hard with numerous, fast moving storms, record-breaking low temperatures, and freezing rains. Last month was the fifth coldest February since As a result, we have absorbed high costs for snow plowing, sidewalk cleaning, salting and increased utility usage. Sunday Mass attendance was down by 1/3 on three Sundays, with collections dwindling considerably as a result. In addition, one of the two heat exchangers in Church has failed and needs to be replaced. Thus snow is spread like wool, frost is scattered like ash (Ps. 147:16).
