RCIA: The RCIA process is open to those who have never been baptized as well as those baptized into a different faith, and those needing to complete the sacraments of Eucharist and/or Confirmation. Anointing of the Sick: The sacrament of the healing is available at any time to all who are seriously ill, hospitalized or preparing for surgery, as well as those of advanced age. Please contact the parish office to make arrangements for the priest to administer the sacrament. If it is an emergency, please call Ext 14. Parish Registration: Is requested of all individual persons and families who worship regularly with us on Sundays and who intend to participate in the life of our parish with their time, talents, and treasures. For more information, call the parish office at or stop by the Information Office after any mass on urday or Sunday. Registration is necessary as well for the issuing of sponsor certificates. Matrimony: Contact the parish office at least 6 months before the prospective date. Baptism: Baptism Preparation Class is held on the 2nd Monday of every other month at 7:00 PM in the church. Baptisms are held on urday at and Sunday at 2:00 PM. Call the parish office to register for class and to schedule Baptism.

Known for several centuries by the alternate title of Our Lady of Victory, the feast day takes place in honor of a 16th century naval victory which secured Europe against Turkish invasion. Pope St. Pius V and all Christians had prayed the Rosary for victory. Pope St. Pius V attributed the victory to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who was invoked on the day of the battle through the rosary being prayed that day all throughout Europe. The Feast is in reality a great festival of thanksgiving for the countless benefits bestowed on Christendom through the Rosary of our blessed Queen. In modern times successive popes have urged the faithful to pray the Rosary, first made popular through the work of St. Dominic. The rosary is a form of contemplative prayer, mental and vocal prayer, which brings down God s blessing on the Church. It is a biblically inspired prayer which is centered on meditation on the mysteries of Christ in union with Mary, who was so closely associated with her Son in his redeeming activity. The word Rosary means "crown of roses." St. Louis De Montfort calls the Rosary "the mystical rose tree of Jesus and Mary in life, death, and eternity." He tells us that reciting the Rosary produces spiritual roses which will "never wilt or die, and they will be just as exquisite thousands of years from now as they are today." In regards the worth of saying the Rosary, he professes it to be a "priceless treasure which is inspired by God" (The Secret Of The Rosary, Montfort Publications, 1954). This is a big project and we could use the help of anyone 13 years and older. Confirmation students can use this activity towards service hours. This is a great opportunity to help your parish community, get to know people we see each week, and to make a difference. There will be a short planning Meeting at 7:45 pm in the Parish Center on Monday, October 15th. Please consider attending so we can plan this project accordingly. Cassidy Council 6100 invites you to play BINGO Friday evenings in the Parish Center. This weekly fundraiser enables the Council to support a myriad of charitable donations including over $12,000 annually in support of the parish and parish activities. Bring them to an Inquiry Session. Inquiry sessions DO NOT assume a commitment to join the Catholic Faith family. Inquiry sessions are opportunities to ask questions about God, Jesus, the Catholic Faith Family. The first session was Tuesday, September 11 at 7 PM in the cry area of the church. All who are unbaptized, baptized into another faith denomination, or baptized Catholic but have not received Eucharist or Confirmation, are invited. THE RACHEL ROSARY The Rachel Rosary is a beautiful and heartbreaking intercessory prayer for victims of post-abortion syndrome. It consists of six decades (5 Sorrowful Mysteries and one Glorious Mystery, the Resurrection). Each prayer is preceded by an intercession for someone affected by an abortion, i.e. For a young girl alone and afraid in an abortion clinic. I invite you to join the Knights of Columbus on Monday October 15th at 7:00 PM in the Daily Chapel to pray for an end to abortion and for healing for those who have been involved in abortions. SAVE THE DATE Sunday, October 7, 2018 BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS DEDICATION OF ST. FRANCIS STATUE On Sunday, October 7th at 2 PM we will have our Annual Blessing of the Animals in honor of St. Francis. We will also Dedicate our New Statue of St. Francis of Assisi located near the Prayer Garden in the back of the Church. We would like to thank our Garden Club, Damian Johnson our Eagle Scout and our Rosary Altar Society for all their support for this project.
