All who come to me shall not hunger, and all who believe in me shall never thirst. With Christians around the world and throughout the centuries, we gather around these symbols of bread and cup simple elements that speak of nourishment and transformation. We gather at God s table, where all are welcome to feast! Prayer of Thanksgiving Lift up your hearts to the One who gives us life and offers new life in every moment. It is right to give God thanks and praise. Loving God, we thank you that you are as close to us as breath. We thank you that your love is constant and unfailing. We thank you for all that sustains life, especially for Jesus Christ Who teaches us how to live an ethic of justice and peace. We thank you for the promise of transformation made real in Jesus life, death, and resurrection.

4 Holy, Holy, Holy God, Sovereign over all the Earth. The riches of your glorious creation forever praise you. Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is the One who comes in your name, the One who has not abandoned us, the One who brings us wholeness and peace. Words of Institution & Blessing Send your blessing, O God, upon this bread and this cup. Through this meal, make us the body of Christ. We remember the night when Jesus and his disciples had their last meal together. We remember Jesus took bread and gave thanks and gave it to his friends saying, This is my body, which is broken for you. Take and eat it and remember me. In the symbol of the broken bread, we participate in the life of Christ. In the same way Jesus took the cup, and after giving thanks, gave it to his friends, saying, Drink this, all of you. This cup is the new covenant, poured out for you and for many. Take and drink and remember me. In the symbol of the cup, we participate in the new life Christ brings. Receiving the Elements Prayer of Response We give thanks, loving God, that you have refreshed us at your table. Strengthen our faith and increase our love for one another. As we have been fed by the seed that became grain and then became bread, may we go out into the world, planting seeds of justice, transformation, and hope. Amen.
