Welcome to our worship today! Welcome! We are delighted to welcome everyone to Worship today! We invite all people to journey with us in ministry and mission. Please indicate a desire to become part of our faith family on the Ritual of Friendship or by contacting a pastor. Stop by our welcome table in the narthex for further information and stop in the parlor for a cup of coffee between services! Persons with some difficulties hearing, but who do not wear hearing aids, can find receiver/earbuds on the table in the parlor. Feel free to bring your own earbuds! LARGE PRINT hymnals, bulletins and Bibles are available; please ask an usher. FUMC is a Reconciling Congregation where all persons of any age, gender, gender identity, race, ethnic origin, economic reality, family status, sexual orientation, diverse ability or social status are welcome without reservation to share in God s love. Flowers on the stand are from Carlee Brown and Rick Hill in celebration of their anniversary. Our 1 st Summer Family Fun Night is just 9 days away! Sign up for any of the Summer Family Fun Nights at the table in the parlor or online at Have baby food jars, plastic lids (from yogurt, sour cream, cottage cheese) you can donate? These craft supplies and others are needed for our 2 VBS events. See CMT bulletin board for full list. Box for donations is in the Parlor. Reach Workcamp: Campers will be collecting envelope donations in different amounts in the Parlor after both services today. Please support our youth in their mission work! On July 4, we will hold a fundraiser 1

2 during the parade. Join us for breakfast that morning! The youth and adults are going to REACH Workcamp in Woodbury, NJ in July. We need a small enclosed trailer for bedding, supplies and tools. If you have one or know of someone that would loan one to us, please contact Lisa Silver (lisasil22@frontiernet.net). Summer Worship - a question each week. This summer we are invited to ask a question to which Ted will endeavor to respond on the Sundays when he is here, July 2 - September 3.We will look at one question or several related questions each week before the sermon. Submit questions to Ted s box or to tedfumc@frontier.com. This is God s world and God s church so any question is within the scope of God s hopes for the world. Perinton Food Shelf needs: coffee, fruit cups, brownie mix, jelly, canned fruit cocktail, side pasta mixes, spaghetti sauce, cranberries, paper towels, vegetable oil, canned chili, beef stew, sloppy joes, corned beef or roast beef hash, broths, pudding cups, potato mixes, mayonnaise Volunteer registration is now open for our 7th Habitat house at 87 Silver Street. FUMC week is Tues, August 15, 12-4pm, and Wednesday, August 16 through Saturday, August 19, 9am-4pm. You don't need any skills or tools; instruction and tools will be provided onsite. All are welcome to help--friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, etc. It's a great way to introduce someone to our church. Registration is easy online at Click on "August, 2017" at the top, then click on "Fairport UMC". Information and cards with the registration web address are available in the narthex. Please contact Rick or Carlee if you're unable to register online, ROC Pride Parade Saturday, July 15. The parade starts at 1pm. We will be walking with Covenant and Asbury and would love for you to join us. If you re interested in participating and representing Fairport UMC at this event, please contact Terri Cullen at jimterchr@aol.com. GATHERING TOGETHER IN GOD S PRESENCE Greeting Ritual of Friendship and Announcements At 10:30, persons at the center aisle end of each pew, please remove the Ritual Sheet, as it returns, and place it in the offering plate when it comes around. This is a day the Lord has made! Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
