3 Devotional All things new! by Michael Pote Can it be that 2012 is aleady hee? It seems like just a few weeks ago we welcomed 2011! When we e childen, we measue time in days and weeks. As we gow olde, time gets measued in yeas. Then as moe yeas oll by, it seems we stat counting the decades. Fo some eason, when we e younge, we want time to huy up and as we get olde, we want time to slow down. As I ve gotten olde, time sue seems to move so much faste than it used to! But time is no especte of people. We e all given the same numbe of seconds, minutes and hous each day. What we do with this time makes all the diffeence. of oppotunity fo evey one of us. God has plans fo each of us and invites us to choose Him each and evey day. How do I spend the new day that God has given me? What do I do with the new oppotunities God places in font of me? What value do I place on the pomise of living with God foeve in a place whee thee will be no sickness, soow o death? These ae the kinds of new things What do I do with the new oppotunities God places in font of me? Although I ve neve puchased a band new automobile (o aiplane), I do like new things. Thee is something special about the smell of a new ca o aiplane. But these things quickly change fom being new to being not new and finally become old. As much as I may enjoy new mateial things, what I eally get excited about ae sunises binging in new days, new oppotunities that God places in font of me, the new eath He has pomised to each of us, the new bodies we will eceive that will be completely healthy with no sicknesses of any kind. These kinds of new things make a diffeence an etenal diffeence. The choices we make today and each day will open up doos God s new things that 2012 should be all about. How will you live you life this new yea? As we move into 2012 I can t help but ejoice that this bings us one yea close to the gloious day when Jesus will come again to take His loved ones home to be with Him foeve and eve. It s heatening to know we e that much close to the day when Jesus will come and put an end to docto visits, hospital stays and funeals. How will you use 2012? ven so come Lod Jesus, come is my paye. 5 Though My yes Togethe with Chist by Dan Cotton These ae unpecedented times. Signs all aound us point to the imminent etun of Jesus Chist. Listen to the wods of Chist Himself, Nation will ise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. Thee will be famines and eathquakes in vaious places. Matthew 24:7*. Wouldn t you say that s an accuate desciption of ou wold today? Read futhe in Matthew 24 and you ll see many othe things that ae taking place today as well. Jesus is coming vey soon and billions of people still need to hea about it! That is the eason fo which Quiet Hou Ministies exists. Fo 75 yeas this ministy has poclaimed the etun of Jesus Chist and His wondeful offe of saving gace to each one on this planet. I paise God fo the multiple hundeds of thousands of people who have accepted Jesus as thei Savio though the outeach of Quiet Hou Ministies. Thee is no highe pivilege than to be pat of God s wok. These ae challenging times fo Quiet Hou Ministies. This 75 th yea of the ministy maks the beginning of a peiod of tansition. Bill Tucke, who has seved with distinction as ou thid geneation Tucke pesident/speake, will etie. The boad is eanestly seeking the Lod s guidance as it seaches fo the ight eplacement. As we hono Bill s outstanding sevice and look ahead to new leadeship, we can see a temendous futue ahead in intenational evangelism. Today we ae positioning ouselves to geatly expand ou outeach though oveseas evangelism and pojects. This stategic diection is being undetaken with much paye fo the Lod s diection. And we believe God is leading us to damatically gow ou voluntee-based intenational evangelism ministy. In 2011 alone, moe than 125,000 people wee eached though ou evangelistic meetings. Now imagine if that numbe wee moe than one million! Think of the temendous impact that would make on the woldwide spead of the gospel and the futue population of God s kingdom! We see in this focus a vey diect connection to the geat commission of Matthew 28:19-20, a passage of Sciptue that has been cental to Quiet Hou Ministies fo 75 yeas. Theefoe go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Fathe and of the Son and of the Holy Spiit, and teaching them to obey eveything I have commanded you. Looking at that commission fom Chist, we see a place fo evey believe in the woldwide poclamation of the gospel. So I invite you to join us in pusuing the mission of shaing God s saving gace with people aound the wold. And hee is the pecious pomise of Jesus in this commission of Matthew 28:20: And suely I am with you always, to the vey end of the age. What an amazing pomise! My fiend, with Jesus we can do anything. He will be with us as we uplift His name. So as we move fowad though these challenging times, let us join togethe with Chist, woking towad the final fulfillment of His geat commission. Dan Cotton is chaiman of the boad of Quiet Hou Ministies. *All sciptue taken fom the New Intenational esion. (800) WINTR 2012 CHOS

6 A Life-Changing xpeience Quiet Hou Ministies evangelism teams shae saving gace in Zambia by Chalene Hilliad West It was a Thusday aftenoon (SPTMB 30, 2011) when I had the oppotunity to geet 30 excited team membes fom the Joshua Seventh-day Adventist Chuch in Joshua, Texas. They had just aived in Livingstone, Zambia, fo a life-changing expeience, and I was excited fo the oppotunities, esponsibilities and even challenges that wee befoe us. The voluntees fom Texas included fou families, plus seveal individuals who have been planning fo this mission tip, including pacticing thei semon mateials and health talks and planning childen s acation Bible school pogams. The speakes anged fom the ages of 12 yeas to 78 yeas, and they would be holding meetings in 17 diffeent locations thoughout Livingstone. Almost immediately as the Quiet Hou Ministies voluntees began woking with the eldes and chuch membes at thei sites, they ealized the hunge fo the Bible tuths among the Zambians. The equests fo Bibles came fom chuch membes, those taking the Bible study classes and even those walking past the meeting sites. It was a common equest, Do you have a Bible that you can give me? So, within the fist 24 hous of being in Livingstone a equest was sent to Quiet Hou Ministies, Please send funds fo Bibles! Duing the two weeks of evangelism meetings I visited each one of the meeting venues to watch, listen and encouage the speakes. It was such a joyful expeience to hea the young speakes, such as Haold (12), Timothy (14), Alan (15) and Keilani (16) Stowells as well as Dean Pate (16) and his siste, Daisy (12), peaching the love of Jesus; and the people listened with open heats, eady to eceive the message. While the young people wee shaing Jesus in vaious places, olde adults wee also peaching the good news. When Mailyn Wallace (77) was invited to join this mission tip she decided to test God about he paticipation. Mailyn told me, I decided to put God to the test. I told God that I would go on the mission tip if thee things happened. Fist of all, I payed that He would take away my pain. Secondly, I wanted to lose 20 pounds. Finally, I told God the thid test was to eceive some unexpected money in the mail. Mailyn continued to pay this paye. Soon she ealized she was pain fee. Then, afte joining Weight Watches, she lost 20 plus pounds. Then one day she eceived a check fom Costco in the mail fo $1.44 an unexpected CHOS WINTR

7 efund. Mailyn futhe stated, I wasn t sue if the $1.44 qualified as unexpected money, so I told God that I needed the unexpected funds to be at least $5.00. A few days late she eceived $25.00 fom the IRS, stating that she had ovepaid he 2010 income taxes. That was five times what she had asked. She came to Zambia! The people coming to the meetings wee so eage fo a change in thei lives. Daniel was one of them. He was aised in a Seventhday Adventist home. But duing his youth he left the chuch and even became estanged fom his family. He told me he wanted to etun to God, but has had some stuggles he couldn t get id of. As I kept listening and encouaging him, he infomed me that he felt that God would no longe fogive his sins because he had asked so much and kept sinning again. Fom my convesation with him, it appeaed he had an ange poblem o aggession issues. He said, I wake up in the moning and say, Ok, God, today I am going to be good, but within a few hous I would be saying things to hut people and just can t stop. I told Daniel that God will These have become my chuch childen. I am seeing them bon again and it makes me so vey happy and as a esult it helps me gow spiitually. continue to fogive us as long as we continue to ask. Thee is no numbe on how many times we ae allowed fogiveness. I then asked him if he had childen, and he said, Yes, I do. How many times do you fogive you childen when they do something wong? I asked him. I always fogive them because I love them, he eplied. I then told him that God has moe love fo us than we do fo ou own childen. I also discussed his need to be involved with a chuch family to give him stength and encouagement. Then I found out his paents ae Seventh-day Adventists and his fathe is a chuch elde. So I said, Daniel, that s you answe. Call you paents, tell them you want to etun to God and need thei suppot. He said, That will be tough fo me to do. And I said, Daniel, you childen need you to do that. They need you to have a elationship with thei gandpaents and with God. As we concluded ou convesation, he pomised me he would make the call and give it to God. I then asked him if I could pay with him, and he said, Yes, would you? And I did. That night he joined the baptismal class! Then I emembeed the paables in the Bible about the lost the lost coin, the lost sheep, the podigal son. We didn t come to Zambia just fo those who have neve head o known the gospel stoy, but we ae hee also to each the lost those who wee home but left o didn t ealize they wee lost. Daniel is a podigal son, looking fo his way home. On the final day of ou Zambia evangelistic meetings, 588 people wee baptized. And moe than 400 people wee baptized shotly afte! 8 Zambia vangelism Repot Juliete Makeche (17 yeas old) was also attending one of the meeting sties. Duing my convesation with he she told me, A long time ago I did woship with the Adventists, but then some of my fiends encouaged me to stat attending the Apostolic Chuch. I did and stange things began to happen to me. I stated heaing voices and doing things that wee good fo me. But I didn t know what to do. Then a few weeks ago I saw the postes that Bible meetings wee going to be held hee. I begged my paents to let me attend but they efused. I came anyway. Suddenly eveything became vey clea. I stated to get a clea pictue of what I was to do. No longe did I hea voices. Then my paents saw a change in me and wee no longe angy that I am attending the meetings. I asked he if she was going to be baptized. Yes, she said, with a smile on he face. My paents ae allowing me to be baptized, and I think they will be hee to see it. Heny Haandila is the Pesonal Ministies Diecto fo the Dambwe Adventist Chuch. ach day he met with those taking the Happy Classes. He is cuentlywoking with 38 candidates. I asked him, Can you descibe to me you method fo teaching them the biblical tuths? He said, Fist, my ole is to encouage each one and to diect them to the tuth, something they have not been getting fom whee they came fom. I want them to know Jesus. I asked him, What mateials do you use fo you classes? He stated, The confeence povides each one of the eldes an SDA Doctinal Guide and we use it to teach all the Bible doctines. My next question to him was, Can you give me an idea of the eligious backgounds epesented of those who stated you class? He said, Six wee fom the Catholic Chuch, eight came fom the New Apostolic Chuch, thee wee Pentecostal and the est wee backslidden Adventists. I laughed with joy when he said, They will now be membes of the Seventh-day Adventist Chuch. What happens to them afte baptism? I continued. Afte baptism, they will be assigned to a chuch membe who will nutue them, help them to gow spiitually, physically and mentally and to become involved in the chuch and its activities, he eplied. This nutuing pogam usually lasts fo about six months to one yea. Then these new membes ae given the oppotunity to be assigned a new baptismal candidate to nutue. Speakes at the Zambia meetings anged in age fom 78 to 12-yea-old Haold Stowell (ight). My final question to him was, What will you expeience tomoow when you see them baptized? Teas welled up in his eyes as he told me, These have become my chuch childen. I am seeing them bon again and it makes me so vey happy and as a esult it helps me gow spiitually. The meetings concluded with a mass baptism of 588 people who gave thei heats to Jesus and went into the watey gave to become one of His childen. And moe than 200 othes began Bible studies (Happy Classes) to pepae fo a futue baptism. Duing the two weeks in Livingstone we expeienced many answes to paye elimination of loud music fom neaby tavens, compute and pojecto challenges, safety on the oads, finding lost keys and many moe. But the most exciting answes to paye wee about the people coming to the meetings, making decisions to follow Jesus. We thank you, too, fo paying fo the meetings in Zambia (and othe counties). Thee is such a stong desie among the Zambians to lean moe about Jesus and to be able to ead about Him in thei own Bibles. Thee is still much wok to be done in Livingstone and othe villages thoughout Zambia. Thei chuch membes ae eage to shae Jesus and to tain and encouage othes to become disciples fo Him; and ou ecent meetings helped to bing about a evival among them. Thank you fo you payes and suppot as Quiet Hou Ministies continues to equip voluntees to ceate communities of believes aound the wold! 10 To The nds of The ath Quiet Hou Ministies woldwide vision fo 2012 evangelism by Steve Hamsta By yea s end 2012, how wondful would it be if moe than 200,000 people aound the wold had been eached fo Chist? Imagine, people who today ae in dakness, who ve neve head the gospel, 12 months fom now will be changed foeve. That s pecisely ou plan! As the new yea kicks in, Quiet Hou Ministies is launching into an ambitious stategy to touch the lives of moe than 200,000 people in 33 counties. This includes sending evangelism teams to 14 counties and caying out mission pojects in 19 counties. This is no doubt a vey bold vision, says Bill Tucke, QHM pesident and speake. But we believe we e being called by God to geatly expand ou intenational outeach. Chist is coming vey soon and we simply must tell the wold about it! Oveseas evangelism is a key element of fulfilling ou aim. We e planning fo moe than 180 mission teams, compising in excess of 500 voluntees. oluntee-based evangelism is an aea whee we see temendous potential, Bill explains. When you conside that ou voluntee evangelism teams eached moe than 125,000 people last yea, you can see what a mavelous oppotunity lays ahead as we expand ou intenational evangelism. Bill, along with his wife, Jackie, will be an integal pat of ou 2012 evangelism effots. They ll pesonally lead a 10-site evangelistic outeach to Tacna, Peu, in June. This aea of Peu is incedibly open to the gospel and we e looking fowad to many people accepting Jesus Chist though ou meetings. But the Tacna meetings ae only the tip of the icebeg. In fact, ou evangelism calenda kicks off in Mach with a mission tip to Honduas. Thee s still time to egiste fo this exciting evangelism effot. But huy, the tip begins Mach 29. As the yea moves fowad, tips open fo enollment include two to the Philippines (Apil and June 22-July 7), the Tucke s Peu tip (June 15-30) and tips to Tonga (July 3-15) and South Afica (July 12-29). The Philippines is such an exciting place fo evangelism and Quiet Hou Ministies has been vey active thee fo many yeas. As we look fowad to this yea s mission tips, we e anticipating that hundeds of people will be baptized. If you go, you ll neve foget the enegy fo evangelism in the Philippines. The Tonga and South Afica tips ae especially tageted towad youth paticipants, but individuals of all ages ae welcome to join. Ou youth mission tips have a unique excitement that s all thei own. People of all ages have been blessed by woking side by side with ou young people to shae God s saving gace. If you haven t yet joined us on a Quiet Hou Ministies mission tip, I can t encouage you enough to come, says Bill. We have oom fo people with all kinds of skills peaching, childen s pogams, building pojects and medical clinics. And people fom all age goups ae needed as well. Medical pofessionals ae an especially ugent need. Having a clinic on-site with a numbe of sevices offeed is such a cucial pat of connecting with the local community and inviting people to the evangelism meetings. If you e a medical pofessional, please contact us about getting involved on one of ou mission tips. To bolste ou evangelism pogam, we ll also be suppoting a numbe of mission pojects. Last yea alone, ou mission pojects eached moe than 50,000 people fo Chist! And this yea we e excited about the woldwide slate of pojects on deck. Building chuches has always been an impotant pat of ou mission suppot povided aound the wold. We have immediate CHOS WINTR

11 2012 vangelism Peview Poviding Bibles to new believes is an impotant pat of ou intenational evangelism. Thanks to you gifts, we ae able to distibute thousands of locallanguage Bibles evey yea! plans to build 36 chuches in just the next few months and anothe 55 ae tageted fo completion by yea s end. These chuches will be built in counties including India, Peu and ietnam places seeing temendous gowth in new believes but yet with a seious lack of chuch buildings. In fact, almost all of ou chuches will be built in places whee thee liteally has neve been a Seventh-day Adventist Chuch befoe! One place we e especially wanting to focus ou chuchbuilding effots is Malawi. When Bill and Jackie Tucke led evangelistic meetings in Malawi this past August, they leaned that the local aea had vitually no chuch buildings whatsoeve. Acoss the egion, thee wee hadly any chuch buildings, Bill ecalls. And whee Jackie held he meetings, the chuch was eally a theadbae thatch oof held up by some banches and sticks. Thee wee no seats, no place fo the childen and we wee moe o less at the mecy of the weathe. Touched by the temendous need they saw, Bill and Jackie bought back a equest fom local chuch leades fo eight chuches in Malawi. With you help, we want to build these ugentlyneeded chuches ight away! Thanks to you suppot, we wee able to povide moe than 13,000 local-language Bibles to the mission field last yea. While hee in Noth Ameica Bibles ae plentiful, in many places aound the wold they ae in despeately shot supply. In fact, when Chalene West, ou executive diecto fo intenational evangelism, led 17 evangelism teams in Zambia just a few months ago, she discoveed that local-language Bibles wee so scace that many chuch membes didn t even have them. Because of you gifts, we wee able to quickly wie funds to Zambia to povide enough Bibles fo all who wee baptized and the hundeds moe who equested Bible studies. This yea we e thilled to be able to continue this vital mission suppot poject thanks to you geneous gifts. Having a Bible of thei own is vital to establishing new believes in the faith. Beyond chuches and Bibles thee ae many moe mission pojects we ll undetake, including gospel wokes building bidges to othe faiths and supplying medical equipment to mission hospitals. Yet all these evangelism and mission effots ae focused on one goal: shaing God s saving gace. And it s because of you that all of this is even possible. These wee thee well-loved childen who wee caing sistes to thei fellow ophans and passionate believes in Jesus. Yet they wee lost to this tagic fie. With the oiginal facility unsalvageable, many of the 68 ophans ae living with faculty membes fom the Noth Sulawesi Adventist Academy due to lack of space. But these tempoay accommodations have cetainly not destoyed the ophans spiit! vey Sabbath the students visit local Adventist chuches in thei aea, pesenting songs, stoies and shaing thei love fo Jesus. The ophans ae also using thei chuch visits to help aise funds to continue pogess on thei new facility. Though this weekly local-chuch ministy, we ecently eceived wod that thee new ophans have dedicated thei lives though baptism by immesion! To date, thanks to you gifts, we ve aised moe than $50,000 fo this poject! Thank you so much fo you continued dedication to these childen! Although the funds wee enough to cove the costs of the new building, utilizing fie-poof mateials such as bicks and concete, moe funds ae still needed. Beds, mattesses, bedoom funitue, office funitue and supplies all must still be puchased to tun the building fom just a stuctue into a home fo these ophans. In addition to poviding a safe shelte fo the ophans, the second stoy of the new building will seve as a chapel, whee the childen will continue to lean about the love and beauty that is the stoy of Jesus saving gace! What an incedible answe to paye the esponse to this poject has been. And yet, how incedible that this is only the beginning of the stoy fo these ophans. In emembeing the lives of the thee gils that wee lost, the 68 ophans will now have a poweful stoy to shae of God s gace and geneosity as they gow up suounded by evidence of His loving cae fo thei lives. Thank you fo you continued suppot of ou ministy and fo the blessing you will in tun be to these ophans. If you would like to continue helping this ophanage gow and suppot these childen, please mak you gift with the code May God bless this ophanage and continued pupose to the aea of Noth Sulawesi, that it would be used fo His gloy, binging many pecious people and childen into His kingdom! 14 Photos: 2011 BigStock Witnessing the Handiwok of God by Michelle Baylon Aiving in Madagasca, I have to admit I was clueless. I d neve peached befoe and had no idea what to expect when leading an evangelistic seies. And I can only imagine how nevous I looked when I fist aived at my meeting site, a Seventh-day Adventist Chuch in Andonda, Madagasca. Now, when I say chuch I ve got to tell you that it s pobably nothing like you chuch. It was emote, about 90 minute s dive into the jungle. And it had no oof. Just a dit floo with concete teaces ising up at the back, almost like stadium bleaches. They had a few wooden pews set out on the dit as well. So when it ained the floo tuned to mud and eveyone got wet. Aiving back fom the meetings each night I d have to wash mud off my feet. But afte my initial supise subsided, I gew to love the Andonda chuch. Despite being packed with about 600 people each night, it felt cozy and wam. And believe it o not I even came to enjoy washing the mud off my feet. God neve ceases to amaze me! Despite all my anxiety and doubts, He led me though the meetings successfully. The gospel was poclaimed to hundeds of people and although I was told to expect 70 baptisms, I had 84 people accept Jesus and be baptized! Let me shae two of thei stoies with you. Afte one of my meetings ended, a local membe asked me to meet somebody: a leade in one of the neaby Roman Catholic chuches. I was teified. And not just because that night s semon had been on the common mistaken teachings of many chuches, including Sunday obsevance. I was also nevous because of doubts like I m not a eal pasto and what if he asks me something I don t know how to answe? Saying a quick paye, I told the Lod that He bought me thee and He was moe than capable of helping me now. I asked Him to Some 600 people came to Michelle s evangelistic meetings evey night, despite having to sit on a dit floo. CHOS WINTR

15 Madagasca vangelism Repot give me just the ight wods to say. Then, tusting that God aleady had the situation all woked out, I appoached the man. I gulped had as he handed me a notebook filled with a witten message fo me. Then the man began speaking in boken nglish, explaining a bit about his message and encouaging me to ead it. Still paying to God fo help, I began eading. He wote that he d been coming to the meetings evey night except fo the night when we talked about the Sabbath. That vey night he had a deam. He saw a big blackboad in font of him and on it I was witing something in nglish. Now he can only ead Malagasy and Fench, but somehow he undestood what I was witing on the boad. Ten Beautiful Commandments was the title. Then below that wee 10 numbes with witing beside them. As he looked at the witing it was all bluy except fo the witing beside the fouth numbe. So he ead the commandment about the Sabbath and took it as a sign that God was telling him something eally impotant. Then he said that he wanted Bible studies about the Sabbath and was willing to obseve the Sabbath day! Finishing his witten message, he and I payed togethe. And late I was able to visit him in his home to help answe the questions he had about Bible teachings. I paise God fo eaching this man with the tuth! He eally stepped out in faith, especially since he was a leade in a local Roman Catholic chuch. God eally does have an amazing plan fo evey peson. And watching Him wok out His plan in this man s life was an expeience I ll neve foget. The othe stoy is that of Solomon, whom I met the fist Sabbath of the meetings. An nglish-speaking Nigeian, Solomon was the only peson at the meetings who didn t need a tanslato to undestand what I was saying. His deam was to be a pofessional socce playe. And he had come to Madagasca to pusue that goal. Howeve it had not woked out as he had hoped and now he was stuck in Madagasca tying to figue out the next step fo his life. But God had a plan fo Solomon. Solomon ended up moving in with the family of a leade at the Andonda chuch. Though thei influence he d stated to study the Bible. Solomon had attended all of the meetings when I finally met him. Night afte night I saw him come and take caeful notes on the topics. So I stated paying fo him to keep coming to the meetings and to decide to follow Jesus. While making my alta calls each night, I was watching to see if he would come fowad. I was hoping and paying, but he didn t come. I told myself that maybe he wasn t yet eady to decide. Then one night when I made a call fo people who wanted to choose Jesus and be baptized the next Sabbath (the last day of ou meetings) he stood up! I was so excited and thankful to God! I stongly believe that Solomon was sent to Madagasca to be at the ight place at the ight time fo God to do something geat in his life. Now Solomon is studying to become a pasto and has a passion to etun to Nigeia to shae Chist with his family and fiends back home. It s amazing how God woks! At the conclusion of the Madagasca meetings, nealy 900 people wee baptized! Between the 22 meeting sites ou team had, nealy 900 people accepted Jesus and wee baptized! And anothe 800 people asked to begin Bible studies in pepaation fo baptism. As I think about ou expeience in Madagasca and the many people we saw accept Jesus, a vese comes to mind: He has made eveything beautiful in its time. cclesiastes 3:11 NI. Fo me to be able to go to Madagasca and witness God s poweful hands woking in my life and the lives of othes was definitely no accident! It was pat of God s amazing plan. All paises to Him who is still woking to bing so many people to salvation! Michelle Baylon was pat of a 22-site evangelistic effot in Madagasca in June-July She is a student at Southen Adventist Univesity. (800) WINTR 2012 CHOS

19 QHM News Changes in the office of the chief executive office Nealy six yeas ago, it was my pivilege to join Quiet Hou Ministies as chief executive office. 22 ietnam Repot A Pioneeing Wok by Steve Hamsta Thanks to you suppot, fo the past seveal yeas Quiet Hou Ministies has been involved in one of the most exciting fontline evangelism effots in the entie Seventh-day Adventist Chuch! Following the official ecognition of the Adventist denomination in 2008 by the communist govenment of ietnam, the chuch thee has seen temendous gowth. And we ve been helping build up the chuch s wok in ietnam though a taining school fo gospel wokes and ongoing gospel woke suppot. These gospel wokes have planted chuches in cities and villages that fo the most pat have had no Adventist pesence since Futhemoe a significant Adventist pesence is being established among tibes such as the Tay, Muong and Hmong. Since it was fist founded, the taining pogam has gown substantially. In fact, while thee used to be just one taining pogam each yea, demand is so geat that thee ae now two sequences each yea. All told, some 61 gospel wokes wee tained in 2011 alone! But what s tuly amazing ae the esults. Last yea, moe than 500 people wee baptized though the gospel wokes ministy! And on top of that ae hundeds moe who ae enolled in Bibles studies. The good news of God s saving gace eally is speading apidly in ietnam! One ecent lette fom Khoi Tan, a local chuch official, shaed this exciting news: We held a special baptism ceemony fo the vey fist seven candidates fom the Hanoi Adventist Chuch. Pasto Tan, the mission pesident, was thee to conduct the baptism. The next Sabbath, Pasto Mok joined us at the Hanoi Chuch. He was amazed to see the wok gowing so apidly in the nothen egion of ietnam. Now the Hanoi chuch is looking fo a bigge place in which to woship. They now have 40 people and have filled the oom they ae enting. Next yea, we ae planning to hold a big outeach in Hanoi. So we ae looking fo a place to hold about 300 people, as we expect to soon have a goup that big. Paise God fo the wondeful success of the fontline wok cuently going on in ietnam! The Hanoi chuch is an especially exciting stoy, because only a few yeas ago, thee was no Adventist pesence in the city at all. We e so thankful to ou suppotes who have helped make this amazing, pioneeing wok in ietnam a eality. In thinking of the wok in ietnam and how fa it s come in such a shot time, the wods of Chist come to mind, With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things ae possible with God. Mak 10:27 NI. Steve Hamsta is executive diecto fo maketing at Quiet Hou Ministies. CHOS WINTR
