Begone you enemy powers. The Lion of the Tribe of Juda, the Root of David has conquered, Alleluia! Dear Friends, This is the anniversary of the Consecration of St. Anthony Catholic Church. I have created this prayer for you. Please prayer it often. Prayer of Rededication of St. Anthony Church O Lord God, whom the heavens and the earth cannot contain, but who condescends to have a swelling on earth where your name can be continually invoked; we beseech you, through all merits and prayers of Blessed Mary ever Virgin, and of St. Anthony of Padua, and of all the saints, visit the St. Anthony parish church building again. Look upon it with your kindly countenance and purge if of all evil by the infusion of Your Grace. shadows of darkness, so that, filled with the light of your Mercy and covered with the blood of your divine son, Jesus Christ, this parish may grow, thrive and flourish in the power of the Holy Spirit. May it be a lighthouse of love in the darkness, a pillar of truth for those steeped in error, a staff of strength for the weak, the poor and the needy, a signpost of welcome for the lost and the straying, a fountainhead of mercy for the sinful and the struggling soul, a powerhouse of prayer for all, a haven of healing for the brokenhearted, the sick, and the suffering. May the flame of charity burn brightly unto eternal life for all. Through Christ, whose blood marks the doorpost of this church and the hearts of all believers. PLEASE NOTE THAT COF- FEE AND DONUTS ON DEC. 7TH WILL BE HELD IN THE PARISH HALL. CHRISTMAS GIVING TREE A note from the SVdP committee, the Christmas Giving Tree will be ready on Sunday, Nov 29 th. If you would like to help out by taking an ornament from the tree, purchasing the item in need, this would be greatly appreciated! The Altar & Rosary Society Annual Craft & Bake Sale will be held on the weekend of December 6 th from 4:30PM-6:00PM & from 7:30AM-1:00PM in the Parish Hall. This is our one and only fundraiser; profits go towards the continuous support of our parish, school and local community. Our Society is asking parishioners to consider donating a handmade item or baked goods. Donations can be dropped off in the Parish Hall on Saturday, December 6 th starting at 9:00AM. We will be raffling off donated items from members of our parish and local businesses, and for just stopping by you will receive one free raffle ticket for a chance to win a donated item. For more information or questions please feel free to contact our Secretary Michelle Fournier at: RELIGIOUS EDUCATION Children s Liturgy As reported the last couple of weeks, we will soon be bringing our Children s Liturgy of the Word to the 10:00 Mass. The date has been delayed however, to November 30 th. We are excited to bring this ministry to the 10:00 Mass and will continue to provide the children at the 11:30 Mass with this opportunity. This novena starts Sat. Nov. 29th and goes through Sun. Dec. 7th. You will be able to do this novena on your own.

3 KofC Food Bank Weekend-Please help those in need, Dec. 20th & 21st, by bringing non-perishable food items to benefit the Bidwell Food Bank and cash donations to support the Des Moines Area Religious Council Food Bank. The Knights of Columbus will be at all of the doors before and after each Mass collecting for this worthy cause. A Big THANK YOU to everyone who helped clean the church last time. All are Serious Sins. THE THREE THEOLOGICAL VIRTUES are we so named because God is their object, their motive and their author. FAITH is belief in and acceptance of all truths revealed by God through the Catholic Church. HOPE is placing all our trust in all that God promises through the Catholic Faith. CHARITY is loving God above all things. It is loving God according to the TWO GREATEST COMMANDMENTS, with your whole heart, your whole soul, your whole mind, your whole strength and loving your neighbor as yourself. No wonder Charity is called the greatest of these three virtues.
