St. Anthony Preschool Openings St. Anthony s continues to be partners with Des Moines Public School and offers Universal Preschool to our 4 year old Program. The Universal Preschool Grant, is a wonderful program that allows us to offer Preschool free of charge. AROUND THE DIOCESE The Bishop Drumm Garage Sale: Begins on Thursday, May 3 rd and continues each Thursday through September. Hours are 9:30-1:30. The sale is located in the garage next to the Bishop Drumm Care Center. Donations may be dropped off at the garage at those times or by contacting Sue ( ) or Joyce ( ). No beds, old TVs or computers. If you wish to volunteer, please call these phone numbers. Iowa Catholic Radio invites all ladies to the next Ladies MOSAIC Luncheon on Thursday April 12, 11:30AM-1:00PM, at St. Augustin Church. Engage your faith, meet new friends, and learn about services in your community. This luncheon s featured speaker is Marilyn Lane, co-founder and co-chair of the Christ Our Life Conference, a pilgrimage co-leader, and a mission volunteer. Lane s Power in the Promptings presentation will inspire in each of us a deeper desire to make the Holy Spirit our daily companion on the journey through life s joys, trials, and sorrows. 5 From Msgr. Frank Chiodo Dear Parish Family, This is Divine Mercy Sunday weekend. This special celebration of the second Sunday of Easter highlights the merciful heart of Jesus open and inviting all of us to take refuge therein. I encourage you to cultivate a devotion to Jesus of Divine Mercy. In the southeast aisle of our church there is an image of Jesus of Divine Mercy. St. Faustina had a vision of Jesus in just this form. Jesus asked her to have a rendering done and this image is a copy of that rendering. O Jesus, I trust in You. May your Mercy surround us, uplift us, heal us and transform us into your image. Amen. Following the 11:00 Mass this weekend, the assembly will process to the grotto of Divine Mercy and Our Lady of Mount Carmel where the chaplet will be prayed in song. Please join us. The ABC s of Mercy The message of mercy can be called to mind simply by remembering A-B-C. Blessings, Ask for His Mercy. God wants us to approach Him in prayer constantly. Be Merciful. God wants us to receive His mercy and let it flow through us to others. Completely trust in Jesus. God wants us to know that the graces of His mercy are dependent upon our trust.
