During this time, we invite the children, ages 4-12, to come to the lower church. We then do a reading and discussion gospel readings of the day, and then a coloring page or two. It s a nice time for the children to hear the Gospel in a way they understand, and also enables them to get rid of the wiggles they sometimes have during Mass. It s well attended anywhere from kids on any given Sunday. This Sunday will be our last time, as we break for the summer. If there are some parents who would like to volunteer, please call or me, and I will be happy to provide the materials so that we don t have to take a break. If I don t hear from anyone, I will plan to offer the Children s Liturgy again in September. Also, I would love to offer this during all Masses, but would need additional volunteers. Pray about it! Remember to register your kids for PRE and Confirmation. Forms are in the elevator foyer and on the website. Help them to put the knowledge, skills and insights gained through their education to use for the good of all humankind. Inspire them to believe in the goodness of life even when faced with challenges and difficulties. As they commence with their lives, may they grow ever more grateful and wise. All of this we ask in the name of Jesus, your beloved Son. Amen.

BUSINESS OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED MAY 29TH IN OBSERVANCE OF MEMORIAL DAY St. Anthony Altar & Rosary Mass will be Sunday, June 4th, at 8:30 am Mass. We will pray the rosary together beginning at 8:05 am. The Mass intention will be for Debbie Morlan and all living & deceased members of the Society. Remember to bring your desserts for the Corpus Christi procession to the parish before the 11:00am Mass Sunday, June 18th. Reminder there are no meetings during the summer months. AROUND THE DIOCESE The second annual Summer at The Well women's gathering takes place on Saturday, June 24 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Indianola. It's a day full of faith, fellowship, and fun with inspirational talks, uplifting praise and worship music, individual prayer in our Adoration chapel as well as communal worship at Saturday evening Vigil Mass. A box lunch, afternoon snack break, and buffet dinner are all included with registration. Early bird registration rate is $60 through May 22; $65 after. Scholarships are available for those in need. 5 From Msgr. Frank Chiodo My dear Parishioners, Congratulations to our graduates from our school. We are proud m and we pray the good Lord will always guide them along his pathways of peace. Thanks to our teachers and staff and administration who have played such an important part in bringing our young men and women to this important juncture in their lives. God bless them all. Our Pastoral Council met last Saturday. We are restructuring the council so that it has a more specific focus, namely, to plan and envision a more vibrant, faith filled and growing parish. Mr. Bryan Gonzalez is the chairperson council. We are off to a great start in planning for our future. I am also delighted to announce the formation of a new council namely, The Community Council. Under the leadership of Mr. Jimmy Garcia, this council s sole purpose is to plan, coordinate, and promote activities in our parish in order to build stronger bonds between our membership. Some great plans are underway to sponsor at least one activity per month to provide occasions for us to build a stronger community spirit. Having grown up in this parish, I know how vibrant this parish has been. We live in a culture that keeps everybody pretty busy, but it is no less important and perhaps even more urgent for us to seek out ways to build on the strong and solid foundation of our great parish community by spending some time together outside of Mass times.
