March 24 th & Sun. March 25 th Our Lenten Offering will be for the home bound and Nursing home folks of our own St. Anthony Parish. These are folks, because of ageing or illness, cannot get to church, so extraordinary ministers take holy communion to them on a regular basis. We have about home bound folks, and about 20 in nursing homes.. We want to show them that we are thinking about them and haven t forgotten them. We will collect fresh fruit and cookies to give to them from our parishioners, plus cards of good wishes from the St. Anthony and PRE school children. The home bound will be notified of someone calling on them on Palm Sunday. Our extra ordinary ministers will be assisting in our delivery fruit. If anyone in the parish wishes to visit one home bound with our gift, please let us know (Michele at ) and we would be happy to have you help. We are meeting downstairs after the 11:00 mass to put the gifts together. (Around 12:00). A reminder, Communal Penance is scheduled for Sat. Mar. 24th starting at 9:00AM in the church. EXAMINATION OF CONSCIENCE SINS AGAINST MYSELF AND OTHERS Have I been impatient, angry, or jealous? Have a brooded over injuries or refused to forgive? Have I taken part in or encouraged abortion, the destruction of human embryos, euthanasia or any means of taking human life? Have I been verbally or physically violent to others? Have I been racist in my thoughts, words or deeds? Have I hurt anyone by speaking badly about them?
