With so many newly registered families coming into St. Anthony, a new welcome packet will be sent to them with a letter from Monsignor Chiodo, Fr. Reynaldo and Principal Reas. The packet will include Mass times, information about each ministry, and other important information about the parish. So, any and all new information that you could get to me from your ministry would be of great help. Check out the new calendar that can be found in the weekly bulletin that hopefully will help make it easier for parish members to stay informed. ANTHONY S NEWS & EVENTS All Saints Day Mass Schedule 5:30pm-English 7am-English 8:30am (All School Mass) 5:30pm-Latin 7:00pm Spanish All Souls Day Mass Schedule 7am, 8:30am & 5:30pm- (English) 7pm-Latin Mass 8:30pm-Spanish Dowling Catholic's Annual Open House for Prospective Students - November 4th Dowling Catholic High School is hosting it's annual Open House for Prospective Students on Sunday, November 5th from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Families can take a tour of the school, meet the teachers, moderators, and coaches and learn about financial aid opportunities. There are prizes to win and games to play! It s a fun day for the whole family! FIRST FRIDAY FATIMA MASS WHAT: First Friday Fatima Mass WHEN: Friday November 2nd TIME: 7:00PM WHERE: St. Anthony Church Followed by procession of the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Join us for a visit with the Blessed Mother and Her Divine Son. St, Anthony Altar & Rosary meeting will take place on Thursday, November 1 st. We will pray the Rosary together in the main church beginning at 6:00 pm, followed by our business meeting in the lower church. Our guest speaker will be Rick Rauzi who will share his experience of surviving a fall into icy waters. Our monthly Mass will be on Sunday, November 8:00 am. We will pray the Rosary together 7:35 am. Attention all lectors and extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion and you who wish to serve in these ministries: We will be providing a training workshop for lectors and EMOHCs on Saturday Nov. 17th. 5 From Msgr. Frank Chiodo Parishioners, As we are about to begin November, there are a couple things I d like to remind everyone in the parish about: November 1 st is the Solemnity of All Saints. This is a wonderful celebration of the Church Year, in which we celebrate the great cloud of witnesses (Hebrews 12:1) who are in the presence of God and interceding for us. As this celebration is so great, the Church has named it a Holy Day of Obligation, asking all Catholics everywhere to attend Mass in honor of these saints. Mass times for All Saints will be: October 31: 5:30pm November 1: 7:00am, 8:30am, 5:30pm (Latin EF) & 7:00pm (Spanish) November 2 nd is All Souls day, in which we remember all of those who have gone before us marked with the sign of faith. We pray for all the poor souls in Purgatory; that they may soon enter into the presence of God with the help of our prayers.
