I m excited to announce a new Adoration Signup Drive! You are invited to sign up an hour a week. There is adoration in the Adoration Chapel from 9:15 AM to 8:00 PM and there are several hours open during these three days that you could sign up to fill. If you have never given your time in adoration, please prayerfully consider this one hour a week commitment. Orientation will be provided, so someone will contact you to give you the logistics. To sign up, see the Adoration Form located in the back of the church on the marble table. Oh, and please provide your contact information. Prayer is a powerful tool the Lord has given believers for this spiritual journey, yet it is usually under used. It s no surprise that the enemy is successful at keeping most of us so busy that we have less time to pray. This is tragic. I would encourage you to consider giving one hour a week in prayer-- in adoration before the Lord. If the times that are open do not work in your schedule, no worries, you can sign up during any hour that does work for you. I ve seen churches that have people in adoration at a time. Needless to say, conversions were common in the church with so many people praying. Oh, and it s a great way to give your time. For more information, feel free to contact me. 3 ST. ANTHONY S NEWS & EVENTS St, Anthony Altar & Rosary meeting will take place on Thursday, October 4 th. We will pray the Rosary together in the main church beginning at 6:00PM Followed by our business meeting in the lower church, where we will share our evening meal provided by the officers & committee heads. We will have an installation of new members and our guest speaker will be Deacon Tom Starbuck, who will share How Big Is God. Our monthly Mass will be on Sunday, October 8:00 am. We will pray the Rosary together 7:35 am. The Mass intention will be for Joanne Wadle and all living & deceased members of the Society. FIRST FRIDAY FATIMA MASS WHAT: First Friday Fatima Mass WHEN: Friday October 5th TIME: 7:00PM WHERE: St. Anthony Church Followed by procession of the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. All 6 th -12 th graders, along with their parents & parish leaders, are invited to this year s BOLDLY SENT youth rally (formerly DCYC). On Saturday (10/20) youth will gather at their parishes for a day of evangelization, followed by a Diocesanwide Dodgeball tournament at the downtown YMCA. On Sunday (10/21), Katie Prejean- McGrady will keynote our rally, which will end with Mass at 4pm. Registration is at boldlysent, and is $40 for both days, $30 for Sunday only. 5 From Msgr. Frank Chiodo Parishioners, Fr. Gehler and I will be gone Sun. Sept. 30th thru Thurs. Oct. 4th attending the Diocesan Priest Workshop. The Mass schedule during that time will be the same except for Wed. Oct. 3rd, there will be a communion service at 8:30AM. Please consider attending the CRHP weekends that are coming up. The men s retreat will be Oct. 6th & Oct. 7th. The women s retreat will be Oct. 13th & 14th. To get registered call the business office. Special First Friday Mass will be this Friday Oct. 5 th at 7:00pm. There will be a candle procession of the Statue of Our Lady. Prayers for healing of the sick will be offered. Please join us.
