Baptisms: First and third Sundays of each month at 1:00 p.m. Preregistration required. Parents must have completed a diocesan-required Pre-Baptism class. Pre-Baptism classes: Classes are offered the 4th Sunday of January, April, July and October at 1:00 p.m. in Mary s Room. Pre-registration is required. Call the Parish Office. Marriages: Engaged couples should make their arrangements with the priest at least 6 to 12 months in advance of their wedding. Funerals: Contact your funeral director of choice and after meeting with them, ask them to call the Parish Office to arrange date and time. Holy Communion for the Homebound: Please call the Parish Office whenever a family member is seriously ill or hospitalized. Arrangements can be made to bring Holy Communion to the homebound. Sponsor Requirements: All requests for sponsor certificates must be directed to a priest. Individuals must be registered and practicing members of this parish, at least 16 years of age, and have received the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation. 3 from the Pastor s Desk... My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Peace. In today s Gospel our Blessed Lord says, Peace be with you. His words to the early disciples when He stood before them are as needed today as ever before. We are in great need of the Peace of Christ. Sunday: Monday: Tuesday: Bishop Emeritus Roger W. As followers of Jesus we are called into His Peace. Just look at how many times during Holy Mass do we find the word, Peace. It is not as the world gives peace, but it is from Peace Himself. Walking with the Lord grants Peace to our hearts. The First Letter of St. John also challenges us to live the life to which we are called. He said that the way we may be sure that we know Him is to keep His commandments. He said, those who say, I know Him, but do not keep His commandments are liars, and the truth is not in them. But whoever keeps His word, the love of God is truly perfected in him. When we walk with the Lord and follow His commands, true Peace is found in our hearts. No reservation no fees no requirements for membership: just a genuine desire to spend time in prayer for those who have dedicated their lives to serve God s holy church. Please support the work of our St. Vincent depaul Society by making a contribution to help fund their very important work among the poor and needy of our area. Traditionally, the fifth Sunday of the month has been the day reserved for remembering the work of St. Vincent depaul Societies across the nation. These collections happen only 4 times a year, on average, so please consider this very worthy cause and be as generous as you are able. Thank You!!!

Supporting your parish ANNUAL FUNDRAISING effort is an important activity for many reasons. First, and foremost, it is important because it is intended to replace any number of smaller events aimed at raising money needed to supplement the Sunday collection. It was begun last year to replace the Annual Parish Festival and other smaller annual fundraising efforts by parish organizations. It was hoped that all groups would work together to make this a ONE TIME PER YEAR MAJOR PARISH fun AND fund - RAISING EVENT. If raffle tickets or bidding on auction items are not to your liking, perhaps a simple donation of an amount of your choosing would be more appealing. A Gift from the Heart envelope is attached here for your use. Please place your cash or check donation into the envelope, seal it, and place it in next week s collection or drop it off at the Parish Office any time between now and May 4. We do hope to see you at the MAIN EVENT on May 5. It promises to be a very nice evening with a particularly Italian flavor.
