If you are new to our area, or if you have stopped in just to celebrate Mass with us this week, we hope you felt welcomed. Please come back again or better yet stop by the Parish Office and inquire about becoming a member of our parish. One of our priests will be most happy to talk with you. Baptisms: First and third Sundays of each month at 1:00 p.m. Preregistration required. Parents must have completed a diocesan-required Pre-Baptism class. Pre-Baptism classes: Classes are offered the 4th Sunday of January, April, July and October at 1:00 p.m. in Mary s Room. Pre-registration is required. Call the Parish Office. Marriages: Engaged couples should make their arrangements with the priest at least 6 to 12 months in advance of their wedding. Funerals: Contact your funeral director of choice and after meeting with them, ask them to call the Parish Office to arrange date and time. Holy for the Homebound: Please call the Parish Office whenever a family member is seriously ill or hospitalized. Arrangements can be made to bring Holy to the homebound. Sponsor Requirements: All requests for sponsor certificates must be directed to a priest. Individuals must be registered and practicing members of this parish, at least 16 years of age, and have received the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation. 3 My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, I pray that you are having a wonderful summer! It s hard to believe that the 4 th of July is already upon us. Please plan to attend our special Independence Day Mass at 9 a.m. followed by coffee and donuts. It is a great way to start the celebration of the 4 th. We must always celebrate and defend our Freedom of Religion here in our nation. Speaking of summer, please be sure to check the internet for Mass times in the locations that you might be visiting. Please always tremember to worship God at Holy Mass when you are on vacation. Also, if you happen to be away, please remember your parish by continuing to support it when you are away. Just like at home, the expenses continue. Thank you for your kind consideration. Be sure to keep the evening of July 28 th open. Following the 4 p.m. Mass we will have our annual Parish Picnic. This is a wonderful time to come together as a Parish Family. We will have a cookout, games and fun for the whole family. Please bring a dish to share if you are able. We will try to coordinate the donations of side dishes so that we can avoid too many duplications. Therefore, would you be kind enough to call the Parish Office ( ) and let us know what you would like to offer for the dinner. Please make your responses no later than Wednesday, July 25. Thank you. Also, remember that on the following Sunday, August 5 th, the soon-to-be Canon Matthew Weaver will be celebrating his First Solemn High Mass at 5 p.m. Please plan on attending this beautiful celebration, receive his first priestly blessing, and join us on the south lawn of the rectory for a reception. Let s put on our Sunday best and support this son of our parish as he begins his priestly ministry. May God s blessings be yours this week.
