5 BAPTISM: Page and Kristin Smith present their child to receive the Sacrament of Holy Baptism at the 11:00 am worship service. Sponsors are Jeff and Lindsay Wilkinson. Grandparents are James and Ginger Wilkinson. HEALING PRAYERS are offered during the distribution of Holy Communion. Kneelers are provided on the east and west sides of the sanctuary. Trained healing ministers are waiting to receive your requests before or after receiving the Eucharist. It can be especially meaningful to have a laying on of hands and an anointing of oil, if desired. It is appropriate to bring ANY request or concern that you may have for yourself or someone else. These may be prayers for emotional, spiritual, or physical healing. It can be a peace that brings wholeness, according to God s will, in a number of ways. If you are unable to walk to the kneelers, please ask an usher to assist or move to the bottom of the stairs on the East side of the sanctuary (near the pulpit) and the Healing Minister will come to you. W E L C O M E TODAY AT SAINT ANDREW S NEXT SUNDAY AT SAINT ANDREW S WORSHIP SERVICE CAPTIONING: Today, real-time captioning of the 11:00 am worship service is available, making our worship service accessible to those who are hard-of-hearing. You can use your smartphone or tablet to access the captioning (the sanctuary has a WiFi connection.) Go to: event/standrews/ (If you see a login page, the captioning is not yet active. Refresh your browser near the beginning of the worship service.) The website displays real-time captions of what is being spoken in the service, similar to closed captioning on television. EQUAL EXCHANGE FAIRLY TRADED COFFEE AND MORE: Support our Global Outreach by purchasing fairly traded coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and chocolate bars (in the Narthex between services). By purchasing these items, you help the coffee and cocoa bean farmers in impoverished countries receive more money for their crops by eliminating the middle man s cut. PUSHING THE ENVELOPE...FOR DETROIT: The 2015 ELCA Youth Gathering Team is Pushing the Envelope for Detroit! You are able to support the Team by purchasing envelopes to help us reach our goal. On the bulletin board in the Narthex, the Team has 100 envelopes for purchase, numbered Your contribution is the number on the outside of the envelope. Want to donate $30? Grab the envelope #30! Did someone beat you to it? Grab the #28 and #2 envelopes! Thank you to everyone who has donated; so far we have $2510. When all the envelopes are purchased, we will raise $5,050 towards our overall fundraising goal of $12,200! BAPTISM: Bryce Seibel and Julee Kueckelhan present their child to receive the Sacrament of Holy Baptism at the 11:00 am worship service. Sponsors will be Nicole McCoy and Debbie Bayley.
