May Almighty celebrate the gift of motherhood may we give praise to our God for the very special woman who gave us life. Please honor your Mother whether living or God bless you with His special graces, May the Blessed Mother keep you under her powerful protection. And may you have a long and healthy life. 10 Prayer for Vocations Almighty and merciful God, Inspire those You have chosen To hear and answer Your call to the Priesthood and Religious Life. Give them the courage To be the prophets for our times. Volunteers Needed: Many of the Easter flowers have been removed from the church and placed near the side entrance. We would like to have them planted around the church property. Any volunteers to do this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Give them the wisdom and openness To live their personal call Give them the strength To be ready witnesses of Your love and care for the world. May they find support and encouragement in our words and in our prayers, Through the intercession of Mary, The Mother of God, and all the Saints. Amen All are reminded that it is our tradition to stand in prayer during the Easter season. There are two postures for prayer during the period from Easter to Pentecost standing or sitting. We will kneel again in prayer fifty days from the Resurrection of Our Lord to the special Pentecost "Kneeling Prayers" This tradition gives visible sign of our belief that God revealed something wonderful by the resurrection of Christ, namely 55. Knights of Columbus Measure UI:! Campaign: The Knights of Columbus in Pa are currently conducting their 33 rd Annual Measure Up Campaign for the benefit of the Arc. Members of Bishop Lawrence F. Schott Council 628 will be distributing rulers after masses on Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15. The Council thanks you for your past generosity and again asks you to support this work of charity. The ARC is a nonprofit support group that provides services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Advocacy, counseling, placement, camping, supported I Centralia Centennial: The celebration of the 1ooth Anniversary of the founding of Assumption BVM in Centralia is scheduled for Sunday, August 28, The Liturgy will be celebrated by Archbishop Stefan Soroka, clergy of our Deanery and guest priests who are able to attend. The Banquet will be held at Masser's Banquet Hall in Paxinos. The times for those events have not yet been determined, but please mark that day on your calendar. A special Centennial Commemorative Book will be published to provide a history of the parish. At this time, we ask anyone who has previous Anniversary Books, photos, historical records, etc. to please bring them to church as soon as possible. Please be sure your name is attached to those items, as they will be returned once we are finished.
