I d like to begin on congratulating next year s officers who have been elected. Vincent Vinnie Alianiello, PER was elected to the position of Exalted Ruler. Michael Savage has been elected to the position of Est. Lecturing Knight. Don Coville was elected to the position of Five Year trustee. Dan Vallier was once again elected to the position of Tiler, and Dennis Claffey, PDD and Scott Tackus will be staying on as our Secretary and Treasurer, respectfully. The Esquire, Inner Guard and Chaplain positions are appointed positions, selected by the Exalted Ruler. You may see there is no one currently elected for the positions of Est. Loyal, and Est. Lecturing Knights. Unfortunately both Jason Granetek and Joseph Waggoner needed to step down due to other commitments. I wish Jason and Joe the best of luck and couldn t have made it through this past year without their support. I know they both have indicated they will not be going to far, and will be available to support the Lodge in other capacities! I would be remiss in thanking all of the Lodge officers for their assistance last year. Many of you only see them when you attend meetings; however, most of them are also either chairing or supporting many of the events. Sometimes two or even three nights some weeks. I know Michael Perleoni, our House Committee Chairman has thanked those who ran our Friday Night dinners, but I just wanted to add my own thanks to those who stepped up. Recently, Doug Kehl ran the Valentine s Dinner which was a great success. As I complete my last message as the Exalted Ruler of Glastonbury 2202, I would like to briefly reflect on the past twelve months. I am humbled by the experience as I never imagined the responsibility of the position not only at our Lodge, but in Elkdom as a whole. Past Exalted Rulers, members, friends will indicate what to expect. But to truly understand is to actually Mon. I especially want to thank Sherry, Doug Kehl, and Louise Beeghly, without them, we would not have filled all the Friday night dinners.

We need special thanks to Dennis Claffey, Dave Poulin, Carl Lavoie, and Tom Underwood.

Member Scott Tackus showed us how to run the bar. We have a finely tuned machine, probably the best in the Central District, as the district deputies visits have noted.

On that note, on March 15th we are having a St. Patty's day dinner, $15.00 per person, dinner served at 6:00, tickets are available at the bar.

2 N e v e r C r i t i c i z e a V o l u n t e e r House Committee News I want to thank the house committee for an incredible year. We brought four new fantastic members to the house committee. They worked there tails to the bone. We filled almost every Friday night dinner. I especially want to thank Sherry, Doug Kehl, and Louise Beeghly, without them, we would not have filled all the Friday night dinners. The house is the leading income for the lodge. Never mind the donations we receive from these dinners, Typically the bar does outstanding as well. We need special thanks to Dennis Claffey, Dave Poulin, Carl Lavoie, and Tom Underwood. As well as the regular house duties, the house also supported many other events, the pig roast, the end of summer bash and the golf tournament. Member Scott Tackus showed us how to run the bar. I want to thank everyone who has come up and supported us throughout the year. Trap Shooting Fall trap shooting returns last Sunday in September! If you have your own shotgun, bring it! If you don't have your own one will be available for you to borrow. Lastly, I would like to thank the membership for once again electing me to the position of secretary for the upcoming year. You didn t need to do it, seriously, you didn t!!! Golf Tournament Meeting Believe it or not, it s that time of year for us to begin the process of putting together the tournament. It is scheduled for September 15, 2014, which is only 7 short months away. Monthly meetings will begin on March 19th at the Lodge at approximately 6:30PM. In Tom s absence (our fearless leader is braving the winter in Florida), I d like to ask everyone and anyone interested in helping to attend this meeting. I would like to begin getting sub-committee s together, and the leader of those sub-committees. Initially our focus will be pounding the pavement for hole sponsors, price settings, etc. Thomas Herzog Golf Chairman We now have an ATM on the premises! Any member knowing why any of these candidates should not be duly elected to membership, should notify a member of the Investigation Committee or one of the Lodge Officers.
