We served 164 meals and had net proceeds of $715 all of which will go to support youth activities.

Nocturnal Adoration Report St. Bon's Nocturnal Adoration Society yearly report showed 150 hours were given by members. Prefect attendance were given by Joe Kosch, Tom Williams and Ray Johnson.

3 Nocturnal Adoration Report St. Bon's Nocturnal Adoration Society yearly report showed 150 hours were given by members. Prefect attendance were given by Joe Kosch, Tom Williams and Ray Johnson. Members who missed one Saturday were Bob Voboril, Tom Laska, John Heimann, Brain Konecky, Dennis "Tex" Ritter and Larry Brezinski. This report was prepared by Ray Johnson. This past year we lost several members. We are asking any Brother Knight to help by doing an hour any time from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month. Come and do any hour. The prayerful hour has scheduled things to pray if your wish. You will be blessed. Bob Voboril, PGK Church Director. Just as Jesus healed Simon Peter s mother in law and all the sick that were brought to him from the city, so we can be healed. If we let him, Jesus can drive out our fear and free us from the slavery we sometimes choose in our lives. May we all find ways to go away to a quiet place, like Jesus did, and sit in silent prayer so that we can listen in the silence of our hearts to what God is saying to us. This is life giving truth, so that we can find our true selves and our way in Christ Jesus. If we listen, reflect, and then act, maybe we can hear who we truly are before God and then go and carry that Good News to others. We believe in a God who saves, a God who wants us to love each other, and a God who calls us to witness love and redemption in our lives. New Financial Secretary Needed for Council 938 Our council needs someone to step forward and take over the position of Financial Secretary. If you have any questions about what it takes to serve as this officer, please contact our current financial secretary, Ray Johnson, rayjohnson78@yahoo.com or any of the council s trustees. Notes from the February 2, 2015 Business Meeting 14 Knights were in attendance, plus District Deputy Ron Faltys, General Agent Kevin Pfeifer and Insurance Agent Brian Aschoff. The Council received a thank you from Amber Ewing Watson for the $50 in financial support sent to help her continue her work with FOCUS on the USD campus. Beginning balance for January was $4, Income was $5350 and expenses were $2, with an ending balance of $7, Bills for January included: $30.07 Awards and Engraving for free throw contest medals, $728.75to KC Supreme for per capita, $50 to Scotus post prom and $210 to sponsor 2 teams at the state bowling tournament. A get well card was sent to broth Knight, Bob Voboril who is recovering from knee surgery. 44 youth participated in the local free throw contest, 38 boys and 6 girls. District competition will be held in Schuyler on Feb 8 at 1:00 pm. State competition will be on March 14. State bowling will be sponsored by the three Columbus councils on Feb 21-22, 28. Steak dinners will be provided on Feb 21 and 28 for $ Anyone willing to help a the Feb 8 breakfast should contact DGK DJ Smith at The corned beef and cabbage dinner and raffle will be held on March 15 th at the hall. Volunteers are needed from 5:00 to 7:30 pm. St. Bons sold all of the calendars netting $30,000 for the parish. The bells have been repaired.

4 Greg Jochum of Council asked the council if it would sponsor a breakfast for one of the That Man is You meetings. It was suggested that the DGK contact Dick Hamling to see if he would coordinate a breakfast he did the same last year. General Insurance Agent Kevin Pfeifer introduced the new agent serving Council 938, Brian Aschoff. Brian and his family presently lives in Norfolk. KC Insurance is one of 5 insurance companies in the nation with the highest rating available for the industry. DD Ron Faltys reported that the district will hold its recruitment drive in February in advance of the Major degree hosted by Council on March 1. The council should host a recruitment Sunday during this month. State raffle tickets can now be sold. 5 Membership July 1, Initiations + 0 Transfer In + 0 Readmissions + 0 Suspensions - 0 Deaths - 3 Withdrawals - 0 Transfer Out - 1 Membership December 31, Funeral Mass Honor Guard If you attend a funeral Mass for a Brother Knight, you are encouraged to participate in the KC honor guard. Knights will usually gather in the church entrance prior to the Mass and pin on the honor guard ribbons to their coats. The honor guard processes together into the church before the family and is seated together behind the pews reserved for the pall bearers. At the conclusion of the Mass, the honor guard processes out of the church, before the family and casket are ushered out, and we stand at attention at the church entrance as the casket leaves the church. All Knights from any Council are welcome to stand honor guard. If the deceased is also a member of the Fourth Degree, a color corps of Fourth Degree Knights leads the KC honor guard.
