Page 2 Grand Knight s Report On Saturday morning, October 6th, the Eubanks family visited our parish hall for a special family and parish celebration of life for both Doyle and Wanda Eubanks.

A light lunch was served at noon time. We thank all the Knights and their wives who came to spend time saying the Rosary and to visit with the family. It is appreciated.

This is the time of year that things quiet down for the parish District Deputy 23 and for Knights activities. Enjoy having November and December away from the pancake breakfasts.

Voting gives us all a chance to get those people in office who can effect the City, County, State and Federal government with the best possible people. If you haven t done so, please vote.

2 Page 2 Grand Knight s Report On Saturday morning, October 6th, the Eubanks family visited our parish hall for a special family and parish celebration of life for both Doyle and Wanda Eubanks. We had use of the Parish Hall from 10:30 to 4:00 p.m. The venue was open to all Knights, families and parishioners who wanted to come. The Rosary began at 10:30 a.m. and was followed by a social time. A light lunch was served at noon time. We thank all the Knights and their wives who came to spend time saying the Rosary and to visit with the family. It is appreciated. As the saying goes all quiet on the Western Front would be appropriate for October other than Grand Knight and the celebration of life and our breakfast. This is the time of year that things quiet down for the parish District Deputy 23 and for Knights activities. Enjoy having November and December away from the pancake breakfasts. We will start again in January. October breakfast was disappointing to say the least! Voting is one of the biggest events in November other than Veterans Day and Thanksgiving. Voting gives us all a chance to get those people in office who can effect the City, County, State and Federal government with the best possible people. If you haven t done so, please vote. 7 Page 7 NEW FAITH IN ACTION FRATERNAL PROGRAMS REPORT FORM (#10784) Following the launch of the Faith in Action program model, a new form has been created that will allow reporting for most of the Supreme-recommended programs. This new form will replace 24 individual report forms, streamlining the number of forms Council Officers are expected to use. The electronic form is available by going to KOFC.ORG. RECOMMENDED BEST PRACTICES: Submit one report form per program. This new form is an optional addition for any reporting on Featured Programs, Free Throw Championship, Soccer Challenge, Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest, or Keep Christ in Christmas Poster Contest, which each have their own report forms that are required to be submitted. Save copies of all report forms to assist with the completion of the Annual Survey of Fraternal Activity (#1728) and the Columbian Award Application (#SP-7). Use your Fraternal Leader Success Planner (#5033) to help document the number of programs, events, charitable hours, and distributions throughout the year. When calculating service hours, remember that family members and volunteers assisting the Knights can be counted towards your totals. Reporting should be done in whole numbers only do not report fractions of hours or spare change.
