I am taking this time to announce my decision in the hope and expectancy that someone will step-up and take over this responsibility. I thank all who have had confidence in giving me the opportunities to serve this Order and Section of the Knights of Columbus. To anyone who would like to take over after June 2018, let s talk now so as to make easy the transfer of responsibility. Fraternally, Matt Kresz Brother Knights, We have been a busy group over the last month. We had another successful football sweeps fundraiser and learned that the council should be receiving approximately $600 for our efforts. Thank you to John De Stefanis for once again spearheading this fundraising event. We held a membership drive at St. Timothy s parish and as a result we have one new member from that drive who joined our council and another member who plans to transfer to our council. Thanks to Kevin Keating who spearheaded that event especially the second day of it when it was heavily raining. Cont. pg 2 col 2

On Saturday, November 11 th we sold $100 worth of donated goods at the Catholic Daughters of America flea market at St. Dominic s with a net result of $80 for our council. Thanks to Rich Heller, Phil McCabe and all of those who donated goods especially Jack Driscoll who helped infuse our sales the morning of the flea market. Thanks to Mike Baratucci and Steve Altimari for helping to work our table. On Sunday, November 12 th we assisted with the Catholic League of Disabled Persons Mass and Lunch at St. Katherine's of Sienna s Church. Thanks to John DeStefanis, Steve Altimari and Mike Baratucci for assisting with this event. On Tuesday, November 14 th, we held our Memorial Mass at our council hall. Thanks to John De Stefanis for requesting that Father Jack Kolodziej celebrate the mass and for inviting Michael Starrs family to the mass. Also on Tuesday, November 14 th we had two new members join our council by making their first and second degrees at Peace Council. I want to welcome Robert Hall and Thomas O Farrell to our council and into the knighthood. Please wish them congratulations once you meet them. Some upcoming events are on Saturday, December 2 nd at approximately 9:30 we will hold our annual supermarket gift card drive. Please provide any gift cards that you wish to donate to Mike Baratucci by then. Please turn-in any COAL Books and funds to Rich McMillan also by Saturday morning December 2 nd. On Sunday, December 3 rd the St. John Neumann Assembly will be having a testimonial dinner and Christmas Party from 5 to 9pm at Brookside Manor 50 Bustleton Pike in Feasterville. Tom Finnegan will be honored at this event. Tickets are $45 each and $85 per couple. Please have your funds for tickets to Matt Kresz by November 22 nd. On Sunday, December 10 we will hold our Eagles vs. Rams beef and beer fundraiser at our council hall from 4pm-8pm. Please get your funds to me by Tuesday, December 5 th.
