The captain of salvation, and sooncoming King. O how good it is to give thanks unto our great God, that loved us enough to give his only Son to redeem us from our sins. Now that's love; we should strive the more to express our gratitude to God, even when we don't understand why things happen as they do. Even in our failures, but thanks be to God, trusting Him, we will see it was for our best. Remember this Rom. 8:28 reminds us, that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Over three weeks of the government shutdown, and the many more terrible things that are happening around us, if we pray and trust God, some good we will see. It s sad, but true, that we take so much for granted, and don t give thanks to God. Let's try giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Eph. 5:20). Also let the peace of God rule in our hearts to the which we are called in one body and be thankful (Col. 3:15). In everything we are to give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning us (1 Thess. 5:18). Thanksgiving, the expression of gratitude or appreciation to God, is acknowledged by man universally. We set aside the last Thursday in November to celebrate Thanksgiving Day. However, each day is a day of thanksgiving to God for health, strength, food, shelter, a free country where we can worship our God etc. Thanksgiving is acknowledged by man, but only known in it's fullest degree by the Christian believers who see God as Creator of a world that was "good" (Gen. 1:4). God is the provider of salvation-to man immediately after he sinned and fell, and He is the giver of all good and perfect gifts. The Bible is full of thanksgiving in the Old Testament and the New Testament. So each day, let's offer the sacrifice of thanksgivings to God declaring his works with rejoicing. Amen Amen Amen. Verse for the Month: Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. -Psalm 100:4

2 A Word from Our Editor Greetings in the precious name of Jesus. It is with a heart of thanksgiving that I write to you today. There are so many blessings running through my mind that it s impossible to count all the many things that God has done for me. Yet my soul says thank you Lord for what you have done! It s good to know that the blessings of the Lord continue to overtake us day by day. Not knowing what tomorrow holds we can still say, thank you Lord Jesus because He holds tomorrow with His mighty hand. Only God can grant peace in the midst of a world compacted with turmoil for He is the Great I AM. God promised to keep us in perfect peace if we will keep our minds stayed on him. Don t worry about tomorrow, just live for the Lord day by day. Let your thoughts be rooted and grounded in Christ Jesus so the enemy will have no space and no place to reside in you. It is good to take control of our minds and command it to think righteously, command it to bless the Lord. Just by humming a song unto the Lord we can minister to our spirit and the whole body will come under subjection allowing God s presence to refresh us, encourage us and uplift us. Living the Redeemed Life: Be Thankful Bless the Lord, it is a privilege to write once again to let everyone know that God is still on the throne, and He is alive forever more. He is the same God today and forever more. There is much happening in the world today like hurricanes, tornadoes, and earthquakes, etc. But God s word declares in Psalms 121:1-2, I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. As we live day by day remember nothing is too hard for God. Whatever you are going through know that Proverbs 3:5-6 says, Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. November is about to approach us and in the month of November we celebrate Thanksgiving Day. 3 Temple Men Speak O Give Thanks on Thanksgiving Day Everyday Unto the Lord God! November 28, 2013, Thursday is a major holiday in the United States of America called Thanksgiving Day. The dictionary defines this day as a day appointed for giving thanks for divine goodness; also the fourth Thursday in November observed as a legal holiday in the United States. On October 3, 1863, President Abraham Lincoln announced that the nation would celebrate the official holiday on November 26, However, with the brief history shown above we expressed secular thanks in parades, lunches, dinners and family gatherings. We want to first stop and follow the scriptures that were in place over two thousand years ago, long before November 26, 1863, which states in the King James Version: 1. I Chronicles 16:64 - O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. 2. Psalm 30:4 -Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. 3. Psalm 30:12(b) - O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever. 4. Psalm 92:1 - It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High: 5. Psalm 105:1 - O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. 6. Psalm 106:1 - Praise ye the Lord. Sometimes we get frustrated and discouraged when things don't work out the way we want them to. These are times when we question our abilities. When we feel a little down remember that the Holy Ghost will guide you through the paths of righteousness and give us strength to go through life s difficulties. God will lead us and guide us and we don't have to be sad or afraid. Psalm 23:1-4 says: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in the path of righteousness for his name's sake. November is a season to give thanks for what God has given you like your family, food on the table, and a warm household in rainy weather. God has given me much to be thankful for. His grace and mercy is one of my favorite. He gave us a second chance to be with him. He never had to do this but he did because he loves us. 7 God Understands Dear Christian caregiver, do you ever struggle in your ability to connect with God and with really believing that God understands all the problems in your family? Do you ever feel hopeless? If that is the case, tell God your honest feelings. God knows and understands your heartaches and challenges, dear caregiver. God the Father watched His Son, Jesus Christ, live His entire life bearing the weight of very painful and earth bound limitations. Knowing that, dear caregiver, is what can draw you much closer to the Lord for His help. When you turn to God in honest prayer God will answer. When you voice your heartaches and fears to the Lord He listens. You may almost hear God whisper to you, I do understand your heartache, because I sent My Son to come to earth to live as a human on this earth. His entire life on earth was one of sorrow and grief and of lifelong pain and tears. He left a perfect place in heaven with Me, God the Father, and freely lived a life of suffering on this earth.
