Beanum, Jr. oly greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the captain of salvation, and soon-coming King. It's harvest time all around us, "harvest" akin to the rizo "to reap" Of a truth we are living in the last times. Perilous times are really here; another earth quake today as God said it would be, and again we are in a war. If it's ever been a time to evangelize and witness for the Lord, it's now. Acts 1:8 states, But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezek. 18:4). God warned us that in the last days difficult, perilous, grievous times would come, men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to p a r e n t s, u n g r a t e f u l, u n h o l y, unloving, unforgiving, malicious, gossips, without self- control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding a form of godliness, although they have denied it's power; avoid such men as these. For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighted down with sins, led on by various impulses, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Tim.3-7). Harvest men are needed to lift up our eyes and look on the human fields that are white and ready to harvest. Already he who reaps is receiving wages, and is gathering fruit for life eternal; so that he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together (Jh.4:35b-36). There's more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who needs no repentance (Lk.15:7). So let's do the work of the Lord for the saving of souls, while it's yet day, night comes when no one can work. Amen, Amen, and Amen. Verse for the Month: And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. - Revelation 14:15

2 A Word from Our Editor Sister Marilyn Silver Look What Jesus Did! Praise the Lord Everyone! I trust that you are enjoying Jesus as you walk this narrow way. It s such a blessing to be able to reminisce about the goodness of the Lord. Throughout our lives we can see the handiwork of God. Think about it, even as a toddler; God was right there all the time. Throughout our school years He was in the corridors, on the bus, and in the classrooms looking out for us. Many times we did not recognize his hand shielding us from danger and the temptations of the flesh. Knowing that the Lord is always there for us, gives us great hope for the time in which we live. There may have been instances in our lives when we encountered controversies with siblings or friends and our parents or teachers may not have been there. We would have to report/tell them what others had done to us. But today we want to take our attention off of what others have done and place our focus on what Christ has done, is doing and will do for us. Look what Jesus did when He washed me, He washed me, washed me in the blood of the lamb! Oh, to reminisce of His goodness, is to be absorbed in His presence! Casting every care on Him, placing every problem in His hand and leaving every burden at the altar, give us a freedom and a peace that only God can give. Let s take our eyes off our situations and lift up Jesus! For He alone is worthy! Don t let your problems get you down, don t let your situations make you frown! Be encouraged, James 4:8 (KJV) states, Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you If the Lord has saved your soul and set you free you can say, Look what Jesus did when He washed me in the blood of the lamb! He washed me, He washed me in the blood of the Lamb. Won t He make you clean inside? Keep the faith, hold on and stay under the blood. For there is safety in Jesus and in Him we can be strengthened and cleansed through His blood! God loves you. Elders Speak Eld. Tim Williams Love Worth Finding Out Christians believe in God s love that God is love; He loves people and He loves with an infinite capacity to love. Sometimes we have difficulty believing that God loves us individually and personally. Le me assure you/me once again that God loves us fully with all of His love; He loves us! With all of His heart He loves us. He has a great desire to be with us, work in us and work through us. With great tenderness and mercy, with great compassion and kindness, with a desire for our eternal best; He loves us. He will always love us. Once we begin to not only understand with our mind, but receive with our heart that God loves us; we will truly begin to experience the transforming power of God in our life. His love heals us, renews us, and makes us whole. His love becomes the final resting place for our souls, both now and forever. Open our heart today to God s love. Temple Women Speak By: Sister Phyllis Brice While You Are Waiting In the Meantime What do you do when you pray and are waiting for your prayers to be answered? The first thing you do is Keep the Faith even if you see no sign of any answer and, as a matter of fact, things look worse. We must believe that all that matters is what Jesus says, because if He says it, it has to come to pass. So no matter what happens, in the meantime, Keep the Faith! Don t be moved by how it looks, how it sounds, how it feels. Just be stubborn and firm in your walk and your faith. In the meantime, while you are waiting, keep the faith, it is all working for your good!! Be encouraged because you know who Jesus is and NOTHING is impossible with Him. Sierra Silver Fear(less) Fear is an emotion that many of us experience on a regular basis. The month of October is seemingly dedicated to marketing fear. Decorations that are meant to scare us by resembling spider webs, witches, and blood, and costumes of all sorts line store aisles for sale. But fear of these natural things is not what binds us; it is many times the fear of the unknown that so often stunts our growth in Christ. When forming a relationship with Christ there is no telling what will happen there is a mystery to loving God that can be beautiful if you wholeheartedly put your trust in Him. When seeking salvation in Christ, many thoughts of unknown consequences cross our minds that cause us to have fear How will I get saved? When I get saved, will I resist temptation and hold onto salvation or will I fail? Will I miss my old life? What will my friends think? I know the type of person I am, how can God love and save someone like me from my sins? Why hasn t God saved me yet, is salvation not for me? Now that I am saved, what s next? But, I want to challenge each of you to be fearless! Don t let these fears bind you. Don t let these (or any other) thoughts stand in the way of experiencing a personal relationship with Christ, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind, meaning that we do not have fear, but we should feel empowered by Christ (II Timothy 1:7 NKJV). Don t let the fear of the unknown, or the fear of not knowing what will happen, hinder you from being blessed. But, I challenge you to, be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God my God will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD (1 Chronicles 28:20). God has already started a work in your life; don t let fear hold you back from the blessings He is trying to give you. I understand some of us may fear more than others, so dropping all of our fears at once is seemingly difficult. So take small steps. Begin by fearing less. 7 Revival and Homecoming... On September 9th through 12th Temple Of Deliverance celebrated their Fall Revival. It was a time of rejoicing, worshipping and being revived through the anointing of God. On Tuesday, Elder Thomas O dell Johnson from True Apostolic- Mineral VA was our guest speaker. He allowed the Lord to speak the words of life through him. Pastor Johnson s scripture texts were found in Jeremiah 6:16 and Luke 24:47. His topic was, Don t Lose Your Way! We were reminded to hold on to God, to His Word, and don t leave the foundation of Christ. Our souls rejoiced as the glory of the Lord filled our hearts. W e d n e s d a y through Friday we were blessed to have Bishop Willie Mincey, from True Holiness Tabernacle Church of God and True Holiness Winterhaven, Florida, as our guest speaker. Pastor Mincey spoke words of life to us as God spoke unto him. Wednesday s Scripture Text: II Kings 7:1-5; Subject: I Will Not Die, I'm Going To Live." Thursday s Scripture Text: Joshua 3:1-7; Subject: "We Are Walking In God's New Places. and Friday s Scripture Haggai 2:1-9: Subject: "Your Latter Is Going To Be Greater." God blessed us as we gathered around the altar in prayer and faith. Sunday, September 14th was the 83rd Church Anniversary and Homecoming Day. P a s t o r L y n n Beanum brought forth the morning message. The Scripture Text was taken from Luke 15:22-25; Subject: "God's Love and Mercies." Pastor Beanum reminded us that, Love is an inner quality. It's easy to talk about love. The Holy Ghost is an inner quality in us, and...we can't have love without expressing it outwardly. Our souls were fed as the word came forth. In the evening service we were blessed to have Pastor Leslie Gales, Sr., from God s Living Word Greater Apostolic Temple in Dumfries VA. Pastor Gales allowed the Lord to use him in a mighty way as he shared the Word of God. The Scripture was found in Joshua 1:1-9; Subject: What God Has Promised You, Is About To Come to Pass. Pastor Gales reminded us that, God is able to do anything but fail. God is not like us; if He said it, He's going to perform it. We were moved by the power of God throughout all the services. Following the revival (8) souls were baptized in the name of Jesus!! Pray that God will continue to draw souls into the fold and that we will honor and obey His Word. LeRoy Middleton) Inasmuch as Jesus has gone before us, things remain not as they would have been had He never passed that way. He has conquered every foe that obstructed the way. Cheer up now thou faint-hearted warrior. Not only has Christ travelled the road, but He has slain thine enemies. Dost thou dread sin? He has nailed it to His cross. Dost thou fear death? Potato Chips -author unknown A little boy wanted to meet God. He knew it was a long trip to where God lived, so he packed his suitcase with a big bag of potato chips and a six-pack of root beer, and started his journey. When he had gone about three blocks, he met an old man. He was sitting in the park, just staring at some pigeons. The boy sat down next to him and opened his suitcase. He was about to take a drink from his root beer, when he noticed that the old man looked hungry, so he offered him some chips. The man gratefully accepted it and smiled at him. His smile was so pretty that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered him a root beer. Again, he smiled at him. The boy was delighted! They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word. As twilight approached, the boy realized how tired he was and he got up to leave; but before he had gone more than a few steps, he turned around, ran back to the old man, and gave him a hug. But before his mother could respond, he added, "You know what? He's got the most beautiful smile I've ever seen!" Meanwhile, the old man, also radiant with joy, returned to his home. His son was stunned by the look of peace on his face and he asked, "Dad, what did you do today that made you so happy?" He replied "I ate potato chips in the park with God." However, before his son responded, he added, "You know, he's much younger than I expected." Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime! Embrace all equally! 9 The Caregiver's Great "I AM" author...sharon -Excerpts of Article from: In the Bible God has many names. The names of God reveal His character. When God revealed Himself in the burning bush to Moses in the Old Testament of the Bible God said His name was I AM. I AM what? you may say. God as the great I AM means that God is everything any human heart might need. God is even everything the caregiver s heart might long for and need. Caregiving is often one of the most difficult challenges any individual can face in this life. Our God says He is with us in life s trials and difficulties, however. He says that He is the great I AM. So how is God the great I AM in the caregiver s life? God says, I AM the caregiver s strength. I AM his or her source of guidance and wisdom in the many decisions that need to constantly be made in regards to his or her loved one s health. I AM the Christian caregiver s peace in all the chaos and discouragement of caregiving. I AM patient and forgiving, and I AM love personified. I AM the caregiver s life, and I AM all he or she will ever need. I AM the caregiver s salvation and righteousness. I AM the caregiver s all in all. When God calls people to the task of caregiving He is calling them to a very important and significant task in this world. The challenges of caregiving can be overwhelming and often are not pleasant, but nonetheless caregiving is a holy calling from God Himself. Likewise when God spoke to the Old Testament Moses in the burning bush., He called Moses to another overwhelming but God ordained task. You can read about it in Exodus 3 in the Bible. Moses did not want to undertake the task God had assigned him. Moses was afraid and filled with confusion. He felt overwhelmed by what God was asking of Him, and he felt he was not able to do what God had asked of him. God reminded Moses that He would be with him each step of the way. He reminded Moses that He was the great I AM. God would be for Moses everything Moses needed. To complete the task that God had assigned him. Dear Christian Caregiver, the Lord God is also your great I AM. He is your all and all. He will be with you each step of the way. Rest in faith in your great, I AM.
