The message of Christmas is by far one to receive in such a time as this. It brings great joy to all who will accept it. Sometimes the solutions to life's problems are simpler than we think. Our world has incredibly complex problems - wars, terrorism, catastrophes, family, physical and e m o t i o n a l i s s u e s. Sometimes we despair as we forget God provides a simple solution for all the complex problems we must face in this world, making hard things easy in Him. The birth of Christ, which we celebrate at Christmas, some would scoff and call it a simplistic solution, and one that really doesn't work. Others say that it's a nice legend, harmless enough: but they would never consider it a serious solution to any significant problem. But God offers true hope and help that taken into account, will help the sinful hearts of men. It is the practical answer to universal problems. God gave us Christmas; it is what we need. We are following His star as the shepherds did; what about you? Let's follow on to know Christ the Lord better from a baby to the cross. What a gift just for us; He did it all. Blessed are those who are simple enough to accept/ receive Him, not the sophisticated high-minded who rejects Him. We do not know the exact date that He was born, but thanks be to God, for revealing the truth of his birth. Today, there's good news in the world. Let's celebrate. Joy to the world the Lord is come, let earth receive Her King. Peace be on earth and good will to all men. God is the reason for the season. The best to you and yours. Amen. However, many of you would agree that Christmas is one of the most beautiful and exciting times of the year.

2 A Word From Our Editor - Sis. Marilyn Silver IN HIM THERE IS NO FAILURE Praise the Lord precious readers. We are excited about what the Lord has done in 2018 and what He continues to do. As we come down to the close of the year, we can say without a doubt In Him (Jesus Christ) there is no failure. The holidays can be difficult for some. However, many of you would agree that Christmas is one of the most beautiful and exciting times of the year. During this time, we can find people being pleasant, smiling, doing good deeds, and loving family and friends. We often wonder why the love and kindness of this type do not exist throughout the year. Where do we fail? If we really want an answer to this question, we must look within ourselves. Because in Jesus Christ there is no failure. The failure is in us. We lose sight on the reason for the season...jesus Christ. He came to give us life far beyond the month of December - but for all eternity. When we strive to love the Lord like we ought to, then everyday would be Christmas in our hearts. Let s love and adore Him - and one another on purpose! Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love (1 John 4:7-8). May God grant you a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year. In Him There Is No Failure! I have a very important subject to talk on. There's a lot of controversy today about which is the right way to God /Heaven. There are many religions today that declare that they are the right way. There are many men as well as women today who say that they know the way. Some are even saying that they are the way, but they have been proven false. Now, let's see what the Holy scriptures say about this subject. In St. John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. Philip asked Christ to show us the father that it may suffice us, Jesus saith when you have seen me Philip you have seen the Father (read St. John 14:9). Also, Jesus declared I am the way, Page 2 the truth, and the life: no man can come to Father, but by me (see St. John 14:6). Therefore, no man can get to God but by Jesus. For He is that door into the Father's kingdom; any man or woman who tries any other way is a thief or a robber. So, therefore, dear readers until next time. However, He also promises that we have the VICTORY through TOD 38th ANNIVERSARY The Temple of Deliverance Newsletter has been spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ for 38 years. In December 1980, the first newsletter was published under the direction and vision of our Pastor Lynn Beanum. He first appointed Sister Phyllis Adams Brice as editor-in-chief and Sister Deborah Adams as editor, coordinator, a n d photographer. Sis. Keli Hughes assisted with the Newsletter and stepped in as editor for a period of time. We are so thankful that by the grace of God the Newsletter continues today with Sister Marilyn Silver in the role as editor since We appreciate all of those who have willingly volunteered their service and time to produce the newsletter monthly. To those who pray, offer encouragement, help to proofread, fold, tape, distribute, take photos, and donate monetarily we say, thank you! In December, there are sayings that Jesus is the reason for the Season and It s the most wonderful time of the year! I totally agree with these sayings because we are celebrating our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ s birthday! However, being saints of God, we know that every day with Jesus is a great day and every day with Him is wonderful! Let s continue to fast, pray, keep the faith, love, live and laugh! Mary were honored on Sunday, November 11th at Roma s Restaurant, Louisa VA. He has continued to share the word of God with several Health Care Ministries locally and in the surrounding counties for over 30+ years. His wife is a faithful supporter as he encourages the residents and spreads the word of God to those who are not able to attend church. It brings great joy to hear the residents sing songs of Zion and testify of the goodness of the Lord even in the midst of their afflictions. Merry Christmas Veterans Recognition Bro. William Cook Bro. L. Middleton Eld. Clinton Porter On November 11th, we celebrated our beloved veterans during the morning worship.

Our youth honored them with a special march and flag presentation as Sister Rhonda Woolfolk sang God Bless America. May God continue to bless and cover veterans everywhere.

They marched in singing We ve Come This Far by Faith Leaning on The Lord. The service was highly anointed, and the Lord poured out His spirit in the midst of us.

Our keynote speaker, Sister Sandra Woolfolk, encouraged us to walk in unity in order to honor God. It was a blessed and sweet fellowship in Christ Jesus. 9 A R E G I V E R S O R N E R Immeasurably More By: Sharon - There is a verse in the Bible which tells us that God is "able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine." He does this through His remarkable power in us (Ephesians 3:20). We are so weak in ourselves, but with His power in us God can use us in ways we never imagined. He can also bring about blessings that we would never have envisioned. Perhaps you are going through a difficult time navigating the illness of a loved one for whom you are caring. Or perhaps you are a former caregiver who has seen your loved one pass away and are trudging down the paths of grief. Yet again, you may be someone who is enduring some other heavy trial. Even in times like these, God is using you in ways you can only imagine. You may feel you are only just surviving. Yet people are watching you, and God may be using you in the lives of others in ways you do not even now know. He is perhaps using your difficult moments to bring glory to Him and to help grow you or someone else spiritually in ways you never imagined. Trials in our lives tend to do that. God can also do "immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine" by showering us with His love gifts. So often we concentrate on life's problems and challenges and fail to see these wonderful gifts from His hand. These gifts could be something as simple as the beauty of a sunrise or a beautiful flower. These gifts could be remarkable ways God uses past trials in our lives to help us inspire o t h e r s t h r o u g h o u r testimonies. They could be the awesome way God brings a new friend into our lives in a way that we would never have envisioned. God often showers gifts in our lives through others. Most of all He offers us salvation through the gift of His Son. If we would receive no other gift from His hand that gift alone should "wow" us with the wonders of His grace and love. This verse about God doing "immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine" has become an important and encouraging verse in my life. Often life's paths have been challenging. Yet, I have also seen God use current and past trials in awesome ways, in ways I would never have imagined. I have further seen Him heap awesome recent new blessings in my life which I could never have foreseen. His love is overwhelming. His love for you is also overwhelming! Thank You! We greatly appreciate the many readers just like yourself, who have contributed to the Newsletter with your prayers, encouragements and monetary blessings!
