D u r i n g a hospital visitation t o d a y, I w a s enjoying the well-air conditioned facility. But when I left to go home, I walked out into a temperature of 94 degrees. Immediately, I was reminded how really blessed we are to have another opportunity to escape the lake of fire, a subject not often mentioned in sermons today. People would rather hear about blessings instead. Yes, we will be blessed if we repent and commit our lives to the Lord. Please know that if we don t love God and one another according to the Word of God, hell is real. We can t afford to wait, but Pastor Lynn W. Beanum, Jr. need to make preparation now about where we will spend eternity. Think about it!! Here, we can get something cold to drink, a fan, shade from a tree, air condition, etc. but in hell, there will be none of the above. When we repent and accept salvation through Jesus Christ and live a life for Him, thanks be to God, we will avoid hell. Hell in common and theological usage is the place of future punishment of the wicked dead. However, since the KJV uses Hell for the disembodied spirit of the wicked, care must be taken to prevent mistake and confusion. Hell, in the sense of a place of future punishment, is certainly distinctly taught in the Bible. Though the doctrine is not nearly so clearly expressed in the OT as in the NT, it is suggested in such passages as Isa. 14:9-11, Job 24:19, Ps. 9:17, etc. If some object that the teaching of everlasting hell fire is not meant to be taken literally, the least that we can do is conclude that such words and descriptions as given are metaphors to express the terrible agonies of the soul as it suffers endless remorse in eternity, when separated from God and all that is good; and confined with all that is bad. Jesus loved us enough to die for us, and He has given us the fullest teaching about hell. So please, let s do all we can to live and encourage/warn men, women, boys and girls to accept God s plan of salvation, in order to avoid an eternity in hell and the lake of fire Amen. Verse for the Month: But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (Revelation 21:8 )

Many times in my quiet time I enjoy thinking back over my life. I reminisce and I embrace the good times not wanting to let them go. Circumstances in life may try to erase them. Nevertheless, I continue to hold them dear in my heart. When God showers me with blessings I am grateful and dare to take them for granted. Remembering good times is great! Even memories of the bad times help to keep me grounded. Christ tells us to be thankful in all things. Memories are defined as the mental capacity or faculty of retaining and reviving facts, events, impressions, etc., or of recalling or recognizing previous experiences. What good memory comes to mind when you think of the good times? Surely there must be many! However, one that stays with me night and day is the memory of being set free from sin! Imagine a caged bird not being able to fly and stretch his wings, or enjoy the wind or even be able to skip and chirp with his fellow birds. But then he s set free. The opportunities even for the bird to give God praise is limitless. If the Lord has set us free -why should we be bound? Read Galatians 5:1. We do not have to be bound by the stronghold of sin any longer. If we are set free from sin then the memory of being set free should -Sister Marilyn Silver be a constant motivator that pushes praises from our lips, and worship overflowing from our hearts. I remember so well being filled with the Holy Ghost -the power of God. It was on a Thursday night September 12, I wanted God s spirit to live in me. I wanted His anointing to stay with me. I saw others rejoicing and praising the Lord. I saw peace in their countenance and joy radiating from their faces. I saw a different walk, I heard a different talk, I wanted what they had the power of God on the inside. I knew He would work on the total me leaving no stones unturned. When he set me free I was overwhelmed. Now I could get to know Him, I could live for Him, I could rest in Him. I would be His daughter and He would be my Father. Independence Day had arrived for me. But, He didn t stop working on me. He couldn t -because there was more work to be done. Forty-five years later, He is still molding and making me. I remember INDEPENDENCE DAY now it s every day - if I stay in the will of GOD. Happy July 4th, National Independence Day! But, only Jesus Christ can truly set us free and give us a joyous Independence Day! God bless you all. 3 Temple Men Speak Don t Get Caught Up in the Trade Winds of Life 1. Judas got caught up in the trade winds of life when he denied Jesus. Judas said he is the one, he got caught up for thirty pieces of silver. 2. Peter got caught up in the trade winds of life when he said, I never knew him. He did it to save his own life, he said I was not with them. He did what each of us would have done without the Holy Ghost. We that have the Holy Ghost can not afford to lie, steal, and destroy our sisters and Temple Women Speak -Deacon Steve Robinson brothers. Do not get caught up doing that. If we lose our lives doing that- we will not have life. 3. The atmosphere is shifting and many saints are shifting. Many of us have lost our love for God and others, especially those of the household of faith. John 3:8 says, The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: Many saints are just like the wind. We don t know which way to go. I would encourage you to ask God to renew you in the right spirit. It happened to the Galatian church. O foolish Galatians who hath bewitched you, that you should not obey the truth? God is saying get out of the trade winds of life, stay with God. Tell yourself, I know I can make it, I know I can stand, no matter what comes my way my life is in his hand. My God is an awesome God. He can move mountains, keeps me in the valley, and shelters me from the rain. God bless you. -Sister Florence Givens Heartfelt Emotions, But Steadfast Faith Naturally we experience many types of emotions, in this life as we journey along the way. We feel them deeply in our hearts, minds, bodies and souls, even our strength gets a taste of emotions. But, we must endure! Spiritually we hold to faith, for our faith should be deeply rooted, grounded and settled in the Word of God. It s not by emotions or sight but, we walk and stand by firm faith in God. It is by firm, steadfast, diligent faith that we go forward to victory. The Word of God tells us in Ephesians 6:11 and 6: Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil! 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. The Word of God also tells us in Malachi 3:6 - For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Also in Hebrews 13:8- Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and forever. So, therefore we do have the Heartfelt Emotions, But Steadfast Faith, for spiritual faith will move many mountains whereas heartfelt emotions will change from time to time. God never changes; people do. Many emotional people get help by placing their faith and trust in God. They after much toil and fervent prayer know that faith will hold out when the tears pour and fall from our eyes. After the tears we d best have some faith in God to stand in these last and evil days. With no one naturally around us at times, faith will prevail, while emotions will wear us down. Kneel at the feet of Jesus, emotionally cry out to Him, then afterwards wipe the tears from our eyes and walk by faith, standing firm until the end. We then too shall wear the golden crown. We fight daily, having our spiritual antennas in tune, our minds made up, our hearts fixed on Heaven. Watching and waiting with, "Heartfelt Emotions, But Steadfast Faith So, Just Stand! 4 Temple Youth Speak First giving honor to God for the chance to write in the newsletter to give an encouraging word once again. I would like to thank God for our pastor being back in the Temple to praise and worship with us. I am so blessed to be a young sister who loves going to church and loves the Lord my God with all my heart. Everyday God gives us life, health and strength, so that alone is enough to say, Lord I thank you. Oftentimes we get off focus, onto the things we don t have - instead of looking at what we do have. Some people even worry about what the next man/woman is doing, when in reality you only need to worry about what you are doing. While you re worried about them you may have missed out on your blessing that God has in store for you. - by Sis. Keyana Johnson So, I say, keep your mind focused on God and let Him lead and guide you in the right direction. Trust me, He will put you exactly where you need to be in your life that no man can ever tear down. To all young people stay in school and be all you can be. Remember to always put God first, set goals and reach them. Someone once said, If your dreams don t scare you -they aren t big enough. Nothing is impossible when you have God on your side. Celebration of Life in honor of Mother Fannie E. Johnson Mother Fannie Johnson was born on March 26, 1940, in Louisa County, VA. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Iola Hart-Adams. She departed this earthly walk of life on Wednesday, May 29, Mother Fannie was the youngest of 8 children. She loved the Lord and would always encourage us with her beautiful smile and gentle spirit. We were blessed to have known her and will miss her dearly. A spirit-filled celebration of her life was held on June 5, 2013, at Temple of Deliverance in Mineral VA, where Elder Lynn Beanum is the pastor. He also served as eulogist. Elder David Gillispie presided over the service. Songs of inspiration were offered as the Lord uplifted and comforted our hearts. A soul stirring message was delivered by Pastor Beanum. The scripture text was taken from Romans 8: Victory in Jesus was the message title that united us in praise. Please continue to keep the family in your prayers. 9 Simply Trusting The Lord God is the caregiver's refuge, source of guidance, and assurance in the difficult challenges of family care-giving. Care-giving is one of the most important avenues of service in the kingdom of God. It also can be a time of despair, discouragement, and bewilderment as to the next wisest step in dealing with the health of one's loved one for whom one is caring. Every caregiver needs to ask the Lord to help and guide him or her through the difficult twists and turns of care-giving. This involves also TRUSTING that God will guide step by step through this process. God will not usually let the caregiver see far into the future, but the Lord has promised to lead step by step. He will always walk alongside the caregiver with His sustaining strength. He will be the caregiver's refuge each step of the way. The caregiver needs to choose to rest in the Lord. A caregiver cannot control the circumstances of their loved one's disease, but they can control their response to the circumstances. That response has to be one of trust in the Lord. When one sees one's loved one -Excerpts of Article from (posted by Sharon) deteriorating in health it is so easy to become discouraged and to become fearful, but the Lord is the source of hope. He has everything under His control. He is worthy of our trust. There are times when the care-giving situation become increasingly desperate and hopeless. This can cause the caregiver to feel brokenhearted and want to give up. Remember, dear caregiver, the Lord is very near to you when you feel this way. God sees your overwhelming situation, and He hears your cry for help. He can and will bring you through this storm in your life. He will hear your every cry and meet your every need. You may not always understand God's ways with you and with your loved one; but He will never leave you or forsake you, dear caregiver. The Lord may not heal your loved one on this earth, but the Lord will heal them. If they are a child of God even if they do not conquer their disease on this earth, they will be completely healed. No matter what happens the Lord will heal you too, dear Christian caregiver. He will heal you emotionally and spiritually and teach you valuable lessons about His love and faithfulness in the process. Trust in Him. Rest in Him.
