Thompson ANNOUNCEMENTS The hymn of the month for January is #204 Glorious Is Thy Name. January 1 is celebrated as the Feast of the Holy Name in some churches because that is the day Jesus was taken to the synagogue and christened in Luke 2:21. Many of our hymns on this first Sunday will be celebrating Jesus s name and we will continue to learn and sing Glorious is Thy Name all month. Listen for Glorious is Thy Name as Jan plays it during the postlude this morning. This month, we will switch from the first stanza of The Bond of Love to the second stanza. Lastly this month, we will start singing #661 Grace, Love, and Fellowship at the end of the service. I hope these new hymns will help keep the service fresh and meaningful. And they will become as special to you as our previous selections. Prayer Breakfast will resume on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Shoney s VCC.
