This is planned for the 3 rd Tuesday of each month, beginning November 17, For those who prefer to carpool, meet in the Church Parking Lot at 12:30 p.m. Otherwise, we will meet you at the restaurant. All ladies are encouraged to join us for a wonderful afternoon outing! We look forward to an interesting afternoon plus the opportunity of becoming better acquainted with each other. We are still planning to begin new Wednesday Night Bible Study group, led by Allen Jenkins. We are, however, going to nudge back the start date to November 18, to allow us all to participate in the upcoming sessions hosted by the Discipleship Committee on Nov 4 and Nov 11. The October 28th Wednesday evening Shoebox packing party was a huge success so successful that we now have enough materials to pack more Shoeboxes! Most importantly, it was a great evening of fellowship with the goal of sharing God s love with children throughout the world. You can still participate in the Shoebox Mission through prayer and donations. Since the cost to ship each Shoebox is $7.50, we welcome any and all contributions. YOUTH NEWS Thank you to all of those who helped with TOP last Sunday. A big thanks to Allen Jenkins and the Faith & Fellowship Class for organizing. Allen & Eric Mawyer spent countless hours prepping for the event. Also, a big thanks to the adults who came out and chaperoned (Tom & April Ball, John Smith, John Tonello, C.B. Smith, Allen Jenkins, & Tom Steinruck). The Annual Youth Lock-In will be held on Friday, November 13 th. We will begin at 6:30 PM that evening. Parents, you are invited to join us for breakfast the next morning at 6:30 AM. Everyone needs to be picked up by 7:00 AM. Sunday, November 22 nd, will be the annual Youth Bake Sale just in time for Thanksgiving! Save yourself some hours in the kitchen and help support our youth at the same time. Enjoy homemade cakes, pies, and cookies baked by our youth, youth committee, and parents of youth. Our Senior TOP Ministry will resume on November 22 nd. This will be a GREAT time to bond with the senior citizens at Shockoe Bottom

9 Apartments right before the holidays. Many of these folks will not have visitors during the holidays; let s have a great crowd of adults and kids to spend some quality time with them before the holidays and show fellowship and love. Please let Allen or B.J. know if you plan on attending. The Youth Christmas outing this year will be on Saturday, December 5 th. We will meet at the church at 4:00 PM and travel to B.J. & Julia s for dinner. We will then go to the Live Nativity at Broadus Memorial Baptist Church. We will return to the church at approximately 8:30 PM. Please sign up with B.J. by Sunday, November 28 th if you plan on attending. Also, we will need some chaperones to drive! This will be a great time for youth and families!
