The flowers in the Sanctuary today are given in loving memory of Nancy Gasser by their family. Next Sunday is Baptist Men s Day. The Men s Open Door Class invites everyone to join us at Debbie s Kitchen, Mountain Road, Glen Allen, (on the left up Rt. 33 past 295) at noon. Orders will be taken off their regular menu. To best accommodate our party, we need to let Debbie s know by Wednesday, February 22, how many are coming. There will be A Service of Christian Baptism at the beginning of the worship service on March 5 for Sara Stanley and Jordan Woods, thus allowing them to take their first communion on that day.

6 THE GEORGE H. MOODY SCHOLARSHIP fund is now available to active members of the Glen Allen Baptist Church or descendants of an active member. Applicants must reside in Henrico, Hanover or Richmond. This scholarship is awarded in memory of George H. Moody for college or seminary students. The sum is to be divided equally among the applicants. Requests for scholarship must be made by April 1, Applicants should send a letter of introduction, including the school they plan to attend, and their plan of study. All applicants need to call the church office for an application packet. THE QUARLES SCHOLARSHIP A scholarship will be awarded to a student attending the University of Richmond or Westhampton. Applicants should send a letter of introduction including their plan of study. All applicants need to call the church office for an application packet. Deadline is April 1, 2017 If you wish to order a book from Karin Williams, our Baptist Women s Day speaker, Linda Davidson will be placing a group order on Monday, February 20. Our annual yard sale will be on Saturday, April 1, We will also be selling barbecue again and will start taking BBQ orders at the beginning of March. We will be going to Clay Park (near Monroe Park) to go out and feed the homeless. Please join us for this important and vital ministry that we have. If you have any questions, please see Allen Jenkins or B.J. Crowder. Our March Youth activity is in the making G Force Karts and Independence Golf Course in Chesterfield have teamed up for nighttime archery tag on a golf course!! I have our group signed up for Friday, March 3rd for this event. We would meet at church at 5:30 that evening and then head out to the golf course afterwards. The cost would be $20 per kid and this would include dinner and 3 games of laser tag. Please let B.J. know by February 19th if you plan on attending. Also, as always, we need some chaperones!! Thank you. The GABC Youth will be going to King's Fest on Thursday, June 22nd, For those of you haven't been before; King's Fest is an all day event at King's Dominion. We will go in the morning and enjoy the park with rides, games, etc. In the evening, Christian bands, speakers, etc. perform giving testimonies and also live performances. The night we are going, the following artists are performing: For King & Country, Crowder, Chris Tomlin, and Ryan Stevenson. The cost is $25 per person. If you already have a season pass, the cost is $14. As always, we will need some chaperones for this event. The signup deadline for this event is March 19th, so that we can take advantage of the Early Bird special. Please let B.J. know if you are interested in attending King's Fest 2017.
