The news has discussed intense Christian persecution in country. Following Christ in Syria is not easy. There are also foreign Christians in Syria who have chosen to place mselves knowingly under that same persecution. They give aid, encourage followers of Christ, work to provide community to isolated Christians. Help m stay strong in faith by praying for m as

Tickets are at its cheapest price right now at $54. They will go up in price in a couple of months. In addition, hotel rooms are disappearing fast in Lynchburg area. We have had folks go to this conference last few years it is an awesome experience. Joining stage this year will be Jeff Foxworthy, Dennis Swanberg, Rick Rigsby, Jon Gordon, James MacDonald, along with more yet to be announced. Youth Reunion Celebration - Save Date November 24 6:00 8:00 pm The 150 th Anniversary Team will be hosting a reunion of former youth group members November 24, The event will take place in fellowship hall from 6:00 8:00 p.m. All former youth group members ir families are invited to attend. This event will be a great way to celebrate all youth that have grown up as a part of our church. Youth News Welcome to Virginia State Fair! The Youth will be making an outing to fair on Sunday, October 7th, immediately following Worship Service. The next day is a student holiday off from school. We will enjoy a full day of fellowship fun at fair. They are offering reduced rates now, so if you are interested in going, please sign up with B.J. by August 30th. The cost will only be $5 per person. Each youth should plan on bringing extra money with m for food/vendor purchases. As always, we can use some chaperones to help! The Youth Fall Retreat is right around corner from October in Crozet, VA at Misty Mountain Camp Resort. We have several cabin tent spaces reserved. This is a great trip that is always one of our more popular events of year. The adult chaperones usually have just as much fun as our Youth. Let B.J. know if you plan to attend.
