The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. The topic for the program will be Fall Revival & Youth Night with guest Grayson Kirby, a farmer from Studley, VA who shares a powerful testimony of a devastating car crash with virtually a zero chance of living. Church Family Night Dinner and Program will be on Wednesday, October 21 at 5:45 p.m. Cost of supper is $5/pp, $1.50 per child and a maximum of $15 per family. Please join us for good food and fellowship! Our Quarterly Business Meeting will be held after dinner at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Elderberries will be held on Wednesday, October 14 at 11:30 a.m. at the American Legion. Bring vegetable or salad, meat, dessert and beverage will be provided. Vicki Bruce will be entertaining us.

5 Our Choir Retreat will be held on Saturday, October 17 at 9:00 a.m. This will be held at GABC. If you have any questions, you can contact Sharon West. New Bible Study Announcement! We are considering the beginning of a new Wednesday night Bible study group, led by Allen Jenkins. We d like to gauge interest levels by having an introductory meeting on Wednesday, November 4 at 6:30 PM in the Faith and Fellowship Sunday School classroom on the 2 nd floor. The annual offering for Virginia missions was named for Alma Hunt ( ), a native Virginian who was known worldwide for her missions service and her unswerving dedication to the cause of Christ. 6 9/20 (special offering week), are in your box of envelopes and in the pew racks for this special State missions offering. These offerings will go towards the goal of collecting more than $1M to help fund various important mission opportunities aimed at spreading the good news of Jesus Christ! The Constitution and By-Law Committee has two motions for the October Quarterly Business Meeting posted on the Church bulletin board in the hall by the choir room. These motions are concerning the tenure of Trustees and Quasi Endowment Trustees, as directed by the Church members at the July business meeting. YOUTH NEWS YOUTH MISSION TRIPS We are currently accepting registrations for our 2016 mission trip(s). The middle school Impact! Chesterfield Camp will be from June and the high school Tri- Cities Workcamp will be from July If you are interested in attending either of these mission trips, please let B.J. know by October 25th. We already have many of our youth signed up for both and are looking forward to helping many families this summer. Youth Revival Night will be next Wednesday, October 14 th. We currently have 10 other churches joining us and approximately youth! This should be a wonderful night of fellowship and a great chance to hear Grayson Kirby s story and how the Power of Prayer helped save his life. Annual Youth Lock-In will be held on Friday, November 13 th. This is always a popular night and a great night of fun and fellowship. Please let B.J. know by November 1 st, if you plan on attending. Also, we are always looking for chaperones throughout the evening for this

7 event. If you are willing to chaperone even for a few hours it is extremely helpful!

In June, 2014 Grayson was involved in a devastating car crash, in which doctors gave him less than a 2% chance of living; and virtually a 0% chance of living without severe brain damage. Today, Grayson is able to continue working on the family farm. Grayson has been on the Steve Harvey Show as well as the 700 Club. Come hear how the Power of Prayer and his family s trust in Jesus Christ facilitated this incredible miracle. This is a night you won t want to miss!
