Pray for the Success of Our Project Preserving Our Heritage Almighty and loving God, we thank and praise you for your faithfulness to our parish for 165 years. Bless us, the people of St. Patrick Parish, with a spirit of unity and generosity as we enter into the renovation of our downtown Church. We thank you for the generations of parishioners who came before us. May we build upon their legacy of faith. Bless our efforts and strengthen our commitment to Preserving Our Heritage. Guide the work we undertake in your name. Build us into living stones, so that our parish may always reflect your spirit of love and peace. We ask for wisdom, courage and strength as we embark on this journey. With the prayers of our patron, St. Patrick, and under the protection of Our Lady of Guadalupe, let us go forward with faith and trust. We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen

2 Page 2 Sunday, November 13, 2016 Dear Friends in Christ, Parish Stewardship/Financial Report Once a year we provide the parish with a inancial/stewardship report. You can ind the report on pages 4 & 5 of today s bulletin. Our ministry life is funded through the donations made to the parish. We have an active ministry life as a parish because of the generosity of our parish community. I am very grateful for the support that we receive which helps us to do the Lord s work in our area. We are also careful to live within our means and to trim expenses where that is possible. Our support from our diocese is also very positive. As you can see from the report we have surpassed our goal because a record number of parishioners responded to the diocesan appeal. We have been able to work down our parish debt to $970,000. For those who are new to the parish, this debt is connected to the building of our new school, parish of ice building, and rectory. Through pledges and the yellow debt reduction envelope in your monthly envelope packet, we will be able to pay off that debt in approximately two years. The current downtown renovation project will cost around $1.5 million. The campaign is going very well with parishioners pledging $2.2 million to date. Any amount we raise over the cost of the project will go into a maintenance fund to keep our churches and building in good shape on both campuses. Our hope is to reach $2.5 million in pledges before the end of the year. I m very thankful to all the parishioners who have made pledges so far. If you haven not had a chance to participate, and would like to do so, we have pledge envelopes in the lobby of both churches. In addition to good inancial support, there is a great spirit of service in our parish. Hundreds of parishioners are involved in our ministries. I would like to thank all of you for your dedication to our parish. Our mission as a parish is to encourage, form and inspire intentional disciples of Jesus Christ. We need to be clear about who we are and what we are meant to be about, as a parish. Everything we do and are involved in as a parish community should be connected to our call to be disciples of Jesus Christ. We grow in that discipleship through prayer, faith formation, and service. I am very grateful to be serving as your pastor. I know Fr. Deitz, Fr. Manno and Fr. Jorge are also thankful to be serving in priestly ministry at St. Pat s. We are also blessed with an excellent staff at the parish, school, and preschool levels, who are very dedicated in their service to our parish community. Let s continue to work together for God s glory and for the good of our faith community. May God bless you! In Christ, Msgr. Steve Our Book of Remembrance During November, the Church especially prays for those who have died. Plan to stop in the entrance of either church and write the names of your deceased loved ones in our Book of Remembrance. The Book of Remembrance and a memorial list of those parish members who have died throughout the year will be displayed during November as a reminder to pray for the deceased and their families. Thanksgiving Day Masses on Thursday, November 24 All are welcome to participate: 8:30 a.m. at the Downtown Church 9:00 a.m. at the Crane Road Church A great way to begin your Thanksgiving Day is to gather for Mass to thank God for all the blessings He has bestowed upon us. If possible, bring a non-perishable food item to donate to our food pantry. LET S GATHER AND GIVE THANKS!
