At Sacred Heart: tuck-pointing/repair of loose stone on columns & piers by steps to rectory; also entry steps to Church. At St. Patrick s: at Oxford entry replace stoop & railings; minor tuck-pointing on rectory brick joints, replace steps/landing to rectory & railing; replace sections of sidewalk, replace pier extensions & 2 entry slabs on Fulton St. Total cost of project is $12, If you are able to contribute to this please mark your checks For Building Improvements. Thank you for your generosity in maintaining our campuses. EXPOSITION OF SACRED RELICS. St. Mary s Parish welcomes you to a teaching and exposition of Sacred Relics on June 27th at 7pm. Over 150 relics will be shown, some believed to be as old as 2000 years. Among the treasures will be relics of St. Maria Goretti, St. Therese of Lisieux (the Little Flower ), St. Francis of Assisi, St. Anthony of Padua, St. Thomas Aquinas, and St. Faustina Kowalska. In addition, there will also be present a piece of a veil which is believed to have belonged to Our Lady and one of the largest remaining pieces of the True Cross In the world Baptism Classes. Parents who will be having a child baptized are required to attend one of the Baptism classes. Scheduled dates: July 19, 2013 and September 20, Class will be held at the Parish Center at 6:30pm. Please call the parish office, when you wish to schedule your class date. PLEASE TAKE A SECOND FOR YOUR RELIGIOUS FREEDOM. Join us for a March & Rally For Religious Freedom on Sunday, June 30 at 1pm. The march will begin at 1pm at Wilson Park (between Farwell & Barstow). Please arrive by 12:45pm. Signs will be provided. We will march two blocks to the Federal Courthouse for a rally. We will have Knights from all Councils in Eau Claire, 4th degree Honor Guard, speakers and a short program to rally for religious freedom. FUNERAL LUNCHES AT ST. PATRICK S. 4 Community Events Please join us on June 25th at 7pm to participate in a live presentation by Ben Nguyen entitled, The Continued Assault on Religious Freedom to be simulcast at St. James the Greater, th St. in Eau Claire. The presentation, hosted at Aquinas High School in La- Crosse, will be viewed using live video broadcast to St. James the Greater. The event will also include an opening prayer, and remarks by Bishop Callahan. Following the presentation, comments will be given from a panel consisting of Msgr. Roger Scheckel, Pastor of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Richland Center, Nancy Hatlevig, Associate Pastor of Connect Church in Onalaska, Corey Sateren, Pastor of Bethany Evangelical Free Church in La Crosse, and Dr. Mark Grunwald, physician from Prairie du Chien. The program dates are from June 28th to July 22nd. Your responsibilities will consist of a safe living environment, 3 meals a day, a bed to sleep in and laundry service. Madera at the Shrine in La Crosse on July 19 & 20, 2013 for a 2-day conference examining the role of sacred art & architecture in the worship of God. His Eminence Raymond Cardinal Burke will be our keynote speaker. Others scheduled to speak are His Excellency Bishop Joseph J. Madera, Shrine architect Duncan Stroik, noted artist Anthony Visco, and Grammy nominated Catholic singer, songwriter, and producer Marty Rotella. The conference is open to everyone, especially those who wish to enhance their faith and to learn more about the miracle of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Shrine, and the Queen of the Americas Guild.

The Young Adult ministries of St. Mary s in Altoona and Sacred Heart St. Patrick in Eau Claire are teaming up to sponsor some summer events. Sunday, July 14: Picnic and cookout from 11am to 4pm at Pine Pavilion in Carson Park. Meat will be provided; bring your own beverage, a dish to share, and any lawn games you may have. Kids are welcome! Sunday, Aug. 18: Attend Mass together in Chippewa Falls, grab some lunch, then float down the river to Loopy s. Still to be scheduled: service project & possible pilgrimage.
