Love of God should compel us to love the people whom God cherishes. Conversely, work for justice and charity for those in need should be rooted in our love of God. That connection and balance, however, isn t always easy to maintain in our lives. Even in religious orders we find that some Christians are more oriented toward contemplation and prayer, while others are more active in reaching out to those who are oppressed. Today Jesus reminds us of the necessity for both in the life of faith. WEDNESDAY, November 1st is the Feast of All Saints and a holyday of Obligation. We have Mass at 6:30 am and 6:30 pm. There is also Mass at St. Mary Mission at 6 pm. Vocation View We must stop just putting band-aids on the wounds of Society. We must tell the world that we are God s people. God loves us and we were created to serve God, and others in God.

TURKEY DINNER TICKETS Tickets for the Turkey Dinner will be on sale after every Mass. Turkey Dinner and all the trimmings is $10 per plate (to go or dine in). Enroll your deceased loved ones in The ALL SOULS NOVENA of Masses starting November 2-5. Return the envelope to the parish office or place in the collection. We will have 2 masses on All Souls Day. 6:30 am & 6:30 pm DIOCESAN ALTAR SERVER RECOGNITION CEREMONY will be Sunday, November 19 at 5:30 pm at Corpus Christi Cathedral. Altar Servers will meet in St. Joseph s Hall beginning at 4:30 pm to get organized so the servers may process in with the Bishop. Servers should be vested for the ceremony. Please bring your vestments to St. Joseph hall where you will be able to vest. Letters have been mailed out to the parents. For more information, contact Deacon Teo or Rose Farias at There will also be a reception in St. Joseph hall sponsored by the Catholic Daughters. Please make plans to attend WHY PRAY THE ROSARY? The Rosary is a prayer to remind us that Jesus loved us so much that he died on the cross for us. The Rosary tells of the story of Jesus life in four parts: the Joyful Mysteries, the Sorrowful Mysteries, the Glorious Mysteries, and the Luminous Mysteries. Catholics have been given a very special gift in the Rosary. Each time we pray the Rosary, we should focus on Jesus life as well as a special Person or intention that we want to pray for. On Saturday, November 4th, all are invited to recite the Rosary at 5:15 pm at the Grotto for our parish and for your own intentions.
