Your generosity and love are often overwhelming. This year we received more requests for Christmas assistance then most years, yet with a little encouragement, the slips in the back of church have disappeared and the gifts for those in need have started to appear at our office. I was nervous, wondering if we as a parish could provide for so many needs and yet your generosity has brought great joy to my heart and I hope to the lives of so many that will receive your gifts of love. I also must say that I am filled with gratitude to so many of you who have given a gift to make my study trip to Rome in March possible without going into debt. Again you were given a need and responded with love and generosity. Know how I always keep you in my prayers, but in a special way I will keep my benefactors before our Lord each day of my trip to Rome, particularly every morning at Mass. Advent is a time of joyful expectation and this joy is made real through the love of God present in others. Thank you for the joy that you bring to so many and know how much your witness inspires others to come closer to God. We can not receive a gift of love, without at the same time being touched and changed, hopefully to love ourselves more. May this season be a time where the love that is Christ may touch our hearts and transform our lives to be more like Him each day. In Christ Fr. Please take five minutes a day and pray for the priests listed each week. Baptism Classes. Parents who will be having a child baptized are required to attend one of the Baptism classes. Scheduled dates: January 15, 2010 and March 19, Classes will be held at the Parish Center at 6:30pm. Please call the parish office, when you wish to schedule your class date. We recommend that you attend these classes during your pregnancy, before your baby is born. Baptisms are scheduled on the 2nd weekend of the month at Masses or other times by appointment. Information: PARISH SOCIAL JUSTICE COMMITTEE will again be collecting baby supplies to go to the Apple Pregnancy Care Center, a anti-abortion, pro-abstinence group which provides counseling, baby supplies and education to women and families. Needed: disposable diapers (all sizes), baby wipes, baby shampoo & lotion, new baby clothes ( size 0 to 4) baby monitors, breast pumps or maternity clothes. Box in back of Churches.
