RCIA: The RCIA process is open to those who have never been baptized as well as those baptized into a different faith, and those needing to complete the sacraments of Eucharist and/or Confirmation. The group meets Tuesdays at 7:00 PM. If interested, contact Deb for more information at RCIA@stjudeparish.org. Anointing of the Sick: The sacrament of the healing is available at any time to all who are seriously ill, hospitalized or preparing for surgery, as well as those of advanced age. Please contact the parish office to make arrangements for the priest to administer the sacrament. If it is an emergency, please call Ext 14. Parish Registration: Is requested of all individual persons and families who worship regularly with us on Sundays and who intend to participate in the life of our parish with their time, talents, and treasures. For more information, call the parish office at or stop by the Information Office after any mass on urday or Sunday. Registration is necessary as well for the issuing of sponsor certificates. Matrimony: Contact the parish office at least 6 months before the prospective date. Baptism: Baptism Preparation Class is held on the 2nd Monday of every other month at 7:00 PM in the church. Baptisms are held on urday at 12:00 Noon and Sunday at 2:00 PM. Call the parish office to register for class and to schedule Baptism. Next Baptism Class November 12, 2018

And today I would like to share with all of you my thoughts about Peace. John Andrew Peace has always been among humanity's highest values. It is a gift from God. Every human being wants to live in peace. The most disadvantageous peace is better than the most just war. Peace is more important than all justice. I prefer the most imperfect peace to the perfect war. There never was a good war or a bad peace. Peace, however, is also seen as concord, or harmony and tranquility. It is viewed as peace of mind or serenity, especially in the East. It is defined as a state of law or civil government, a state of justice or goodness, a balance or equilibrium of Powers. Peace for us, Christians, means The Risen Lord in our midst. God is with us. Jesus disciples without Him in their midst, felt abandoned. Peace for us, Christians, is order, is harmony, and is consolation. This peace is the result of forgiveness and love. Our St. Jude Novena Prayers will begin on urday, October 20, 2018 following the 9:00 AM Mass. The Schedule for the Novena was posted on the October Bulletin Calendar. The Novena will continue after 9:00 AM Mass everyday except for the Sundays of October 21st and 28th. Novena Prayers will be following the 5:00 PM Mass on those dates. This is a big project and we could use the help of anyone 13 years and older. Confirmation students can use this activity towards service hours. This is a great opportunity to help your parish community, get to know people we see each week, and to make a difference. There will be a short planning Meeting at 7:45 pm in the Parish Center on Monday, October 15th. Please consider attending so we can plan this project accordingly. Cassidy Council 6100 invites you to play BINGO Friday evenings in the Parish Center. This weekly fundraiser enables the Council to support a myriad of charitable donations including over $12,000 annually in support of the parish and parish activities. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. Do you know someone who would like to learn more about Jesus, his love for us, and how we can follow him through the Catholic Faith? Bring them to an Inquiry Session. Inquiry sessions DO NOT assume a commitment to join the Catholic Faith family. Inquiry sessions are opportunities to ask questions about God, Jesus, the Catholic Faith Family. The first session was Tuesday, September 11 at 7 PM in the cry area of the church. All who are unbaptized, baptized into another faith denomination, or baptized Catholic but have not received Eucharist or Confirmation, are invited. THE RACHEL ROSARY The Rachel Rosary is a beautiful and heartbreaking intercessory prayer for victims of post-abortion syndrome. It consists of six decades (5 Sorrowful Mysteries and one Glorious Mystery, the Resurrection). Each prayer is preceded by an intercession for someone affected by an abortion, i.e. For a young girl alone and afraid in an abortion clinic. I invite you to join the Knights of Columbus on Monday October 15th at 7:00 PM in the Daily Chapel to pray for an end to abortion and for healing for those who have been involved in abortions.
