Scheduled dates: Nov. 18, 2011 and Jan.20, Classes will be held at the Parish Center at 6:30pm. Please call the parish office, when you wish to schedule your class date. We recommend that you attend these classes during your pregnancy, before your baby is born. Baptisms are scheduled on the 2nd weekend of the month at Masses or other times by appointment. Come learn about the upcoming changes to some of the prayers we say at Mass!!! We are holding 2 remaining sessions: Oct. 26 and Nov. 9 from 6:15pm to 7:30pm in the Parish Center. Spiritual Adoption Program - October Your spiritually adopted baby is developing quite beautifully now. Her/his weight is approaching 2 pounds. Your little one sits up straight now to accommodate her/his internal organs which have moved into their final place in his/her little body. Babies born prematurely at this time have a very good chance of surviving. The medical advances in caring for extremely small newborn infants are extraordinary indeed. Don t forget to pray for your baby. Abortion is legal through all nine months and his/her mom might still feel pressure to abort.

Join us on Wed., nights (excluding Parish Faith Night) from 6:15 to 7:30pm in the Library room on the 2nd floor of St. Patrick s School to work on community service projects. EYEGLASSES FOR THE MISSIONS. From October 1 through October 30 we will be collecting eyeglasses in containers in the back of each church. The eyeglasses will go to the orphanage in Peru and other missions. Parish Social Justice Committee We are looking for people who would be able to help with our funeral lunches when needed, at Sacred Heart Church. You would need to be available during the daytime. If you would be available, please call Joan at the Parish Office, COMMUNITY TABLE. We will be cooking & serving Tuesday evening, Oct. 18. Would bakers please make a pan of apple crisp for dessert? In addition, we would welcome any donations to our monthly rent payment of $100 for the Community Table on behalf of the parish. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. INTERFAITH HOSPITALITY. Many thanks to all our volunteers who helped us host at Beacon House the week of Sept. 25 through Oct. 2. Several families moved in and out, with us having 8 to 10 children at a time and down to only 6 children on the weekend. It is so interesting to watch how the families interact with each other. We had first timers Alicia Harper and her friend Kayla, Katelyn Meinholz, Marcia Talbott and regulars Mary and Dave Halvorsen brought their 2 nieces to help and play with the children. When you sign up on the chart it saves a lot of calling. Our next turn is not until the evening of New Year s Day. Please consider helping out. NEEDED: Please keep the bazaar in your plans. We need small and larger prizes for the game room, grocery items for the Country Store, handicrafts for those booths as well as the Next-to-New, jewelry and books. Also, check out the sign-up sheets to see if there is an hour or two you can spare. Except for Bingo, the booths will close in plenty of time for you to get to a Packer Party! JAMES THE GREATER PARISH COUNCIL OF CATHOLIC WOMEN is hosting their annual Harvestfest on Sunday, October 23 from 9am until 1pm. Rolls, muffins, coffee & juice will be served from 9am until 10:30am. Hot beef sandwiches, a variety of homemade salads and pies, coffee and lemonade will be served at 11am until 12:30pm. Every baptized Christian has been given Spiritual Gifts (Charisms) by the Holy Spirit to use for the benefit of others. Come join us to discern what your gifts might be.
