STORIES OF JESUS Tell Me the Stories of Jesus Tell me the stories of Jesus I love to hear; things I would ask Him to tell me if He were here; scenes by the wayside, tales of the sea, stories of Jesus, tell them to me. First let me hear how the children stood round His knee, and I shall fancy His blessing resting on me; words full of kindness, deeds full of grace, all in the love-light of Jesus face. Into the city I d follow the children s band, waving a branch of the palm tree high in my hand; one of His heralds, yes, I would sing loudest hosannas, Jesus is King! CALL TO WORSHIP We are called together: to be with God and one another; to worship and give thanks; to find joy and meaning. We don t always know what we need, but God s Spirit is present, to comfort and guide us, and remind us that we are not alone. In a time of darkness, we know it won t last forever, morning approaches, and we ll find light again. A new day dawns for us full of promise and joy. Rev. Phil Greenwald Executive Pastor of Administration Set during the Great Depression in New York City, Annie is an orphan longing for a home. After being left at the orphanage when she was a baby, she never lost hope that her parents would come for her. She soon crosses paths with Oliver Warbucks, famous business tycoon and in need of a PR boost, who decides to let an orphan stay in his home for the holidays. Little did he realize that Annie would steal his heart, and give him a love that he never knew he needed. Daddy Warbucks, the man with it all, and little orphan Annie, the girl who had nothing, come together to find that all they really needed was each other.

6 St. Luke s On Broadway Welcomes Tori Greenwald Tori Greenwald is 10 years old and loves her dog, Chewy. She has been singing on stage since she was 4 years old in shows like 101 Dalmatians (Teenie) and Cinderella (Jacque). She will be a fifth grader at Chisholm Elementary in Edmond this fall. She loves to sing, travel and spend time with her family and friends. She loves Jesus most of all and can t wait to have an iphone of her very own. Rev. Wednesday Night Alive The middle of your week is about to come alive! Yes, St. Luke s Wednesday Night Alive is back! Each week, students receive reading, math, and mentoring help from St. Luke s volunteers. Test scores have been improved, and lives are being changed through this community mission. We are looking for volunteers to help out in the kitchen to prepare our famous homemade donuts. You can help one Sunday a month, or every week! There s Still Time Today is the last day of the school supply drive. Donations can be made in the Threefold bookstore. Youth Discovery Weekend Middle School students - Youth Discovery Weekend is this week! It s August at the Downtown Campus - a special retreat that is designed for 6th - 8th students. It s like a cross between VBS and a summer camp where you will experience music, worship, talks about faith, and so much more. This event will help you feel and know God s presence in a fun environment. The deadline to sign up is August 9. The cost is $50. Wear your modest swimsuit and don t forget to bring a friend! The fun lasts from 12-3 p.m., there s no cost, and lunch is included!
